Game Thread W17 - Seattle V Green Bay (1 Viewer)

So long Brett and thanks for the memories!

GB Brett Favre and the Green Bay Packers.
He didn't say he's retiring.
Wow, think it would of made headlines if he did announce?!? As a Packer homer, he is done IMO. The more Brett talks to the local media, the more confident I am that he will announce.

Good bye Brett - :bye:

Back to the doldrums as a Packer fan. It was fun having Brett own the Bears, but what comes around, goes around.

I think Alexander might have to play into the second half. Still about 23 yards short of Barber for rushing title.

Alexander for the record!
1-10-GB 25 (:55) S.Alexander left end to GB 17 for 8 yards (M.Montgomery, C.Williams).2-2-GB 17 (:14) S.Alexander left tackle to GB 15 for 2 yards (P.Lenon).

1-10-GB 15 (15:00) S.Alexander right end to GB 3 for 12 yards (P.Lenon).

1-3-GB 3 (14:24) S.Alexander left tackle to GB 1 for 2 yards (N.Collins, G.Jackson).

2-1-GB 1 (13:44) S.Alexander right guard to GB 1 for no gain (G.Jackson, N.Barnett).

3-1-GB 1 (13:05) S.Alexander left end for 1 yard, TOUCHDOWN

ya think? I'm wondering if the other guys on the offense have instructions to run out of bounds at the one.

After getting strung out on a third down carry and losing 4 yards, Seattle went for it on 4th and 8 from the GB 35. Hasselbeck got sacked.

Another 'great' decision by Favre but got saved by a drop and penalty.Driver is down on the playETA: Driver back in

I hope Tiki keeps the title.
Me too. The Seahawks are the number one seed in the NFC and have a good shot to make it to the Super Bowl. How long does Holmgren allow these individual stats/records trump the overall interests of the team? You have nothing to play for. Get your best player out of the game before he gets injured! BTW, I have no personal stake in this at all.

Only way he doesn't get it is injury or GB defense stuffs him the rest of the game. Holmgren won't dare cross him again especiallybeing this close. If he was still 50 away maybe he would at half but not less than 10.

How long? If he did it this season, it would be the 1st time. Surely you'll remember last year when he called a Hasselbeck run over an Alexander run when he needed 1-yard for the rushing title.....and then Alexander said he was "stabbed in the back."

Had a nice run up the middle off a draw play for another 13 yards, but fumbled at the end of it. Defender put a good hit on him (helmet on ball).

He needs 120 more yds for 2000.I dont think we will see him in the 2nd half. Bring on MoMo!

That was also SA's 100th TD which I believe puts him at the top of Seahawks' scoring all-time as well. I tried finding the link for the story but I can't. I tell you what though. He had to try hard for those yards. The holes were nowhere near Walter Jones-sized. He'd have had 60 in the 1st quarter if Jones was in. Shows how much Jones means to the running game. In or near the same article about the 100th TD was a strong argument for Jones being the best all time Seahawk, edging out Largent with the running dominance SA and the OL perfected the last 2 seasons. Glad to see the big man getting rest.

FYI. Seneca Wallace just looked VERY sharp marching the Seahawks down the field to get the lead at the start of the second half. Threw nice tight spirals with good arm strength. Looked comfortable in the pocket.

Beauty. Ten seconds after I hit enter Wallace makes a terrible throw that gets picked off.

Did I miss something? Did the Packers win the Super Bowl? Sure is an awful lot of celebrating for merely worsening your draft pick? Favre is done. He's not coming back. You don't raise your arms in triumph for a meaningless TD.
