Lee Evans unsportsmanlike for spiking the ball after finally getting a catch... gay
I REALLY don't understand this call. I rewound it and he didn't spike the ball at all. He turned and flipped the ball to the ref. I'm SERIOUSLY shuked on that one. And then he gets bumped in the endzone right before the ball got there and no call again. I'd be getting in the ref's face too at that point.

So Evans still has 1 reception for 9 yards? I got news for you, he's killed many teams already this year--mine included.

I think he got this one when he stuck his finger in the ref's face. Not sure what he said at that point, but the ref reached for the flag right after he did that.

I'm sorry, I just don't know how much more of the NFL I can watch anymore. The officiating is just a total joke anymore. I'm still going back to the pass play before Parker's TD. You can clearly see a Steeler OG flat out tackle a Buffalo DT from behind when the DT had a clear path to the QB. No call. Then you can see Poz get held and drug from behind on the TD run by Parker.

And they've certainly missed some calls against the Bills as well. That non-call where McGee stepped out of bounds on the return is just unbelievable. How the heck did they miss that?

At least the refs applied the unsportsmanlike conduct call on Evans. In the GB vs. NYG game they called an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty on Shockey for "spiking" the ball after he got a first down and they offset it with the offsides penalty on GB instead of applying it as a dead ball foul after the play and still giving the Giants a first down.

It's like the refs just have no clue what's going on out there. There's probably 2 or 3 good officiating crews in the NFL, the rest of the flat out stink.

The second one I absolutely understand. But I really have no idea why the first one was thrown. You can clearly see him trying to flip the ref the ball. I have no idea how they got spiking the ball out of that one.

Looks like the AFC North is the Steeler's for the taking. Bengals giving up 48 so far to the Browns is just horrible.

I agree -- I thought you meant after the end zone play.

That's news? Not sure what you expect when they have one of the toughest schedules in the entire league and are anything but a powerhouse.

Steelers dominated from the opening whistle. Game wasn't even as close as the score. Steelers looking impressive so far.

I don't know, maybe ROSCOE PARRISH NUMBERS?
Right... because teams are going to give Evans the same coverage they give Buffalo's #3?

You said "Not sure what you expect..."If anyone expected 4 receptions for 25 yards in two games, I don't think they'd be drafting Lee in the third and fourth. So tell me, WHO expected those numbers--you?

most of us play in leagues that last longer than 2 weeks.Evans on the same pace he was a year ago after 2 games.

Congratulations on your impressive win against a 5-11 team.
But that's a whole game better than the team they dominated last week.
You mean the team that beat the Bengals?
Exactly! Good teams blow out bad ones, some people just don't want to admit a team might be good.

Guess what? A win is a win. Denver and Cincy were expected to be playoff teams. Denver barely beat Buffalo and Cincy got scorched by Cleveland. I'll take two dominating wins over anybody to start the season.

Exactly. You can only play who's on your schedule. They have some very tough stretches coming up where they'll be lucky to go .500, so you need to beat the teams you're supposed to beat. Teams that don't make the playoffs (2006 Steelers are a perfect example) give away games they had no business losing. I fully expected the Steelers to be 2-0 at this point, but to have outscored their opponents 60-10 is pretty good no matter who they're playing. Spreads had them as a 13 point favorite in the two games combined and they're +50 in those games, and the defense has looked fantastic. If they keep winning the games they should win, they can split the games they should split and still be in the playoffs. From there, anything can happen (2005 Steelers are a perfect example.)

1. I don't expect anybody to apologize for winning a game and it isn't the Steelers' fault that they have an easy schedule. I just think it's amusing to see somebody praising their team for blowing out arguably the worst team in the league.2. The Denver-Cincinnati thing is ridiculous. I think we all know there's no such thing as trasitivity in football.
