Game Thread W2 - Cleveland V Denver (1 Viewer)

Not getting the game, but it looks like Cleveland and Denver are trying to out-fumble each other. So far, the longest drive of the game is 23 yards, and it's already 7-3.

 
Any looks for Moreno today?

I mean come on.....Buckhalter is a career backup and now he's the starter in Denver??

Not watching the game, but from the game logs it looks like they're alternating series. Buckhalter had all the carries on the first series, Moreno had all the carries on the second, Buckhalter had all the carries on the third. If Denver holds true to form, Moreno should get all the carries on the next series.Is there *ANYBODY* watching the game right now? Is Orton looking decent, or is Stokley just bailing him out over and over again? And why on earth would McDaniels call 3 straight Orton passes at 1st-and-goal from the 5? Factor in the TD to Scheffler, and so far Denver's called 4 plays inside Cleveland's 5... and all 4 have been passes.

Moreno gets the next series, too. That's now 2 in a row for the rook. Fluke, or sign of things to come?Edit: and as I type it, Buckhalter's in. Looks like they're splitting this one. So much for the alternating series theory.

Very strange play calling today. I can't tell if Orton's hand is bugging him or what, but he doesn't look good (what a surprise).

That last play, they have Gaffney as the only WR out there.

They did a quick flash to sideline earlier and it appeared Marshall was having some words with an assistant coach and I am not sure he is even on the field.

Matter of fact he is not and the announcers just made a point that he is not playing. He is healthy but McDork is trying to make a point

I don't care what's going on between the coaching staff and Marshall. There is ZERO excuse to have him on the sideline in a 4 wide set.

 
I've been watching a bit of this game. Total trainwreck on both sides.

Why on earth would McDaniels try putting this game in the air?

Horrible, horrible play calling thus far. Not sure who is going to win this one as both teams seem determined to lose the game.

Orton looks decent at best - several of his passes should have been picked.

 
I'm watching this game on a bad live stream, but it seems like Orton's passes are very inaccurate. Is it really that bad or am I just not seeing it right?

No, he is so afraid of throwing an INT (because the fans will riot if he does) that he is just throwing stuff away rather than taking ANY chance. Lots and lots of boos as the team leaves the field and we are winning,.
 
ugh, what an awful game. Don't let the score fool you, it's not a defensive battle. Just two teams that are inept at moving the ball. :(

 
No, you're seeing it right. Orton has been pretty innaccurate. Why they keep throwing is beyond me.

1st and goal from the 5 - and they do nothing but pass? Ugh.

 
Ridiculous thought of the day: if the halftime scores hold up, Denver will enter week 3 in sole possession of 1st place in the AFC West.

 
A Marshall sighting...

edited: but Marshall is in there in lieu of Royal for some reason.

These are two of the worst teams in the entire league.

I am not sure which qb is looking worse. But they're both playing poorly. Stats aren't showing just how bad these two are.

:wall: It is sad this year has come to this already at Week 2Moreno's knee got landed on and he walked off on his own power.Another missed Prater FG :bag: (it is windy but he should still hit these)
 
This is the 2nd year and I've had enough Matt Prater - there has to be someone else out that that is as effective.

What do you mean "come to this already"? Denver's about 20 minutes away from sole possession of 1st place in the AFC West. :bag:I'd love to see McDaniels taking some hints from his mentor and going for it sometimes on 4th and 1. Seriously... you've got that offensive line, and it's the Browns. Surely your odds of getting a yard are better than your odds of Prater converting.
 
Prater sucks and will be cut ASAFP from my FF team. I doubt he survives the year in DEN with this type of performance.

 
Been a while since the last Buckhalter sighting. Looking like the Moreno show.

Edit: Moreno with 5 carries and 2 catches so far in the 3rd. Buckhalter = 1 carry, 0 catches.
