Game Thread W2 - Detroit V Chicago (1 Viewer)

Andy Hicks

Footballguy
Welcome to Week 2

Once the game kicks off this thread will be pinned, but for now it will run on its own merits.

Please provide your thoughts, pre, during and after the game.

Remember that not everyone will be watching this game, so if you could provide detailed analysis it would be much appreciated. ***PLEASE BE CIVIL***

Things like 'Go Reggie' aren't what we are looking for.

Why will team X win?

Who is the QB targetting?

How are the lines looking?

Who's running the ball well?

Who looks in over his head?

Who's injured (also reference this in the injury thread which will be created once the sunday games are live)

Anything that you think will be of benefit to someone not watching the game or who doesn't care about your fantasy team.

Post game analysis, in particular is what we want to see.

Go for it

Nifty run by Jones behind good blocking. Grossman bobbles the snap on the next play. Then another long run by Jones, almost broke a big one.

This 'bears' repeating:

We will win this game," Lions WR Roy Williams told Detroit reporters. "Y'all can take that as a guarantee or what not, but we will win this game. You can take that as a guarantee if you want. I'm saying when we play the way we are supposed to play, and there's no reason we shouldn't, there's no defense in the league that can stop us. We are our only 'defense.' It was stupid how close we were to putting 40 points on the board (last week in the Lions home opener against Seattle, in which Williams had 36 receiving yards and the Lions scored 6 points, 34 shy of 40)."

10-zip Bears. Ole Roy better start putting up some big plays soon.

But they're so close to 40 points already.

Memo to Roy Williams:

Your team is closer to 40 penalties today vs. 40 points.

7 penalties vs. zero points.

Bench Grossman! He is a bust!

You could always see Grossman had confidence/poise on the field, and you simply can't teach that...

Berrian is on fire!!!

Orton+Griese>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Grossman

Berrian = hot FA pickup tomorrow

Kitna is 4/4.....is that misleading? Think he's worth keeping as a backup, esp given how DET has the genius Marky Martz calling the shots?
