Ah, okay. I didn't know Mathews was smallish, fragile back. My mistake.
Matthews took it from the 5-6 yard line to the 1 then came out. I wish they'd kept Matthews in as he's on my fantasy team.
Fantasy team or not, give the kid his first TD and boost his confidence. Lame move on the head coach's part.
That's what I thought the first time I saw it. But on the replay, it looked like the ball may have come loose on his way down. (Not the best angle to view it, though.)
I think that's why they couldn't overturn the call, no good angles on replay.

I actually think Tolbert will be much better than most will expect, if Mathews misses significant time. He's an unexpectedly good runner. I have him on my dynasty team for that reason (and I don't own Mathews).

It came up this week on one of the Jags radio shows, what would they do about Gates. A Jags insider said they didn't really have a plan other than zone around him with linebackers and secondary. I expect Gates to have a huge game.
