Steelers inactives: QB Dennis Dixon (3rd), WR Limas Sweed, CB Deshea Townsend, RB Gary Russell, LB Bruce Davis, T Tony Hill, T Trai Essex, DE Orpheus Roye

Browns inactives: QB Ken Dorsey (3rd), WR Donte Stallworth, SS Sean Jones, LB Beau Bell, DT Ahtyba Rubin, G Ryan Tucker, G Scott Young, TE Martin Rucker

What do I expect?

I expect Kellen Winslow to have 80 yards and 1 TD. It's what I need to win

I have no other players. I also expect Mendenhall to score his first ever TD and I expect Holmes to score 1 TD along with Ward to score 1 TD with Holmes being the leading scorer.

Crazy wind here in Cleveland!

Power is goin out everywhere!

Gotta be 30-40 mph gusts. Couldnt imagine taking a hurricane straight off the ocean that must be scary as hell as its goin thru.

No rain and it doesnt look like it will. Hopefully we can find a way to get Jamal goin.

My guess is Braylon drops four more and blames it on the wind. Jackarse never takes responsibility for suckin.

Best wishes to you. Hopefully you can watch the game.Jamal and Winslow need to have a decent night.

The pregame is showing some shots of warm ups, and it doesn't look bad there at all. For now, I guess. I put Holmes back in anyway over Crayton.

Looks like we might get a quick sprinkle. Ike is moving thru pretty fast.

Winds are going to stick around. They just clocked a gust at 51 mph.

Other than the wind it should be a beautiful night. Nice and warm. Its 80 right now.

Feels pretty strange to be watching my Browns in the limelight of a captive TV audience on prime time. Its been too long. The last time was December 8th, 2003. They went 5-11 that season after making the playoffs at 9-7 in 2002. They lost at home to the Rams, 26-20.

The appearance before that was in 1995, a 20-3 loss @ the Steelers. Before that was a 1995 22-19 loss at home vs the Bills. You have to go back to Week 2 of 1993, September 13th, to find the last Browns win, 23-13 at home vs the Steve Young / Ricky Watters 49ers. Belichick beat the team that would lose in the NFC title game to the Cowboys, 38-21.

Tonite's game has great significance in the storied rivalry of the Steelers and Browns per Yahoo:

The clubs have met 110 times in the regular season, and both have won 55 times. The Browns dominated this rivalry in the 1950s, 1960s, and 1980s. The Steelers have dominated it in the 1970s, 1990s, and 2000s. Three decades apiece. All tied up. They have met twice in postseason. The Steelers won both wild card games in 1994 and 2002.

The Browns themselves are at a bit of a crossroads. After 3 years and 1 game under Butch Davis, they won 22 games. After 3 years + 1 game under Savage / Crennel, they've only won 20. They need to win. The fans nor the organization can be expected to be patient forever.

Al Michaels talked about a separation in Ben's throwing shoulder. Over the years the Steelers' QB has been "Brittle Ben". He has suffered numerous injuries over his career. However, the franchise has often attempted to play him even while injured, resulting in some terrible stats during those times.

After his motorcycle wreck he started in week 2, only he was horrible. He racked up a concussion on top of everything else. It wasn't until months after that the franchise admitted they rushed him back. Last year Ben was suffering from the incredible beating he was taking playing behind the Steeler's porous OL. But they played him anyway in the playoff game against the Jaguars. He clearly wasn't himself and had a terrible game in a Jaguars' victory.

It will be interesting to see if they have rushed him back from this shoulder injury. Will he have a terrible night? Will he suffer a new injury as he compensates for his shoulder?

"Ben Roethlisberger hasn't thrown the ball upfield yet".

--John Madden (after two offensive plays for the Steelers)

The teams have met 112 times, with Pittsburgh leading the series 57-55.

I thought Braylon's commercial on the NFL network was how there was no offseason, etc. WTF were you working on during the "non-offseason".

GEEEZ.

Anderson's facing two very good defenses in a row, so it's a little hard to judge. Still, the question is, if he continues to play poorly, how soon does the coaching staff start thinking about Quinn?

It sounds like his main receiver is letting him down.

Christ, if Madden going to make excuses for Roth all night(particularly when Ward is the one who dropped the ball) I'm going to have to switch to radio.
