Game Thread W2 - San Diego v New England (1 Viewer)

Pats D is missing Seymour and Harrison. Harrison back week 5 and hopefully Seymour back in week 7. Both guys are veterans and should be well rested.

FYI. IMO, Fantaholic does not represent the typical Patriots fan.

Okay, enough already. WTF is your problem now?

Moss is obviously still good, but on most of his TDs this year the defenders aren't even getting near him. As in, not defending him. I just don't understand giving him an 8 yard cushion on 3rd and 5 or letting him run right past you, regardless of whether you have safety help. And especially if you don't. Dennis Northcutt would have 7 TDs if he was covered the way people are covering Moss this year.
Yeah I agree. I mean it's pretty ridiculous...on that one TD against the Jets they ONLY had 3 guys covering him. Seriously wtf, if Dennis Northcutt was triple covered he would've burned them all by 7 yards instead of that paultry 5 that Moss burned them all by.
This has been argued to death in the other threads throughout the week, but 3 guys in zone 5-10 yards away >< triple coverage.
Please explain to me the Jets Zone that places 3 defenders within 5 yards of each other 50 yards down the field.....

Except for that oneBut you get my point.
Yeah, still a Moss hater. Hater for life. We get it.
Has nothing to do with Moss, more about the morons "covering" him. Perhaps you missed the first part where I said obviously Moss is still good. I'm talking about CBs that let him run right by them or give him ridiculous cushions. But you're just one of those guys that likes to call people haters without actually comprehending what was being said.

I've never heard of you before this thread unless this is an alias. I just think you are sounding ridiculous in this thread "gloating".

How in the hell was that not a penalty... well after Rivers threw the ball... getting pop'd like that?! Terrible mis-officiating there.

Chargers force a fumble on the kickoff return in field goal range with a chance to cut it to two scores. They then get sacked twice, watch the Pats blow up a screen attempt, and get pushed back across midfield for 4th and 30.

With a helaciously missed officiating call that would of resulted in a first down, and some momentum. Shame.

Gotta admit it, the choice of music on the broadcast is kinda funny. I heard "Secret Agent Man" earlier, and they just went to commercial with "Been Caught Stealing"...

Norv will explain the brilliance post-game

lol @ calling that a late hit. The guy's momentum carried him into Rivers. Apparently Rivers is as good at standing as he is at passing

Kind of funny that Kevin Faulk has reached the stage of his career where he is the sure-handed veteran to fair catch punts inside the 20. This has been Troy Brown's role the past few years. Faulk has had a bit of a fumbling problem through his career but I guess now he has BB trust.

wow, could easily have been a flag there on the Rivers hit
nice to see his teammates have his back too. this team is pathetic. hats off to the Pats, they are great, but the Chargers are lost. if someone takes up for Rivers there, knocks the Pat down, well we have a little scrum and some flags and at least they get fired up.

usually doesn't matter if it's momentum or deliberate when the QB is involved
I wouldn't have been at all surprised if it was called (you can get called for roughing just by looking cross-eyed at a QB nowdays - in fact that "roughing" on Brady earlier was a joke) but it would have been one weak-a## call.
