I don't know if the injury to the punter factored in there. Belichick may have gone for it anyway. Not a bad decision, IMO, since he's risking only 30 yards of field position in order to possibly keep the ball in what's likely about a 50-50 chance.

898 yards and 7 tds is a 6400 yard, 56 td, 8 int pace. If brady averages 310 ypg the rest of the way, he will set the yardage record

And they did use him inside the 10 today, and he scored a TD. They also used Tolbert at the 1 yard line, and he failed to convert. The fumble is much worse due to the timing, but not converting on the goal line was just as big.

Hopefully that's the end of the Tolbert experiment. 5-8 carries and a couple catches per game should be his max touches.
