Game Thread W3 - Atlanta V New England (1 Viewer)

Falcons looking very good on offense. Snelling's really doing well as a Norwood-sub these last couple of weeks, too.

Three targets for Moss on the first drive for the Pats. One of them was a 40 pass in the endzone that was overthrown. The other two were each 7 yard passes.

Moss should have a big day...

Don't know for sure. Galloway just caught an almost TD out of boundsThey are running quite a bit

I saw Edelman in the game but this won't end well for those of us who played Edelman. They are running multiple TE sets and one point lined up Sam Aiken as the #2 WR opposite Moss. Most of the time when they go with 2 WR's it's Moss and Galloway. I'd guess Edelman is not healthy and those of us expecting a Welker like performance like he showed last week are about to be in for a rude awakening.
 
I wonder if Galloway and Brady will ever get on the same page. Galloway's poor footwork cost the Pats a TD on the last drive and it seems like he's running wrong routes out there.

 
Great 3 and out by the Pats defense. Stuff the run for a loss, Bodden DRILLS Jenkins on a short gain, pressure on Ryan forces a throwaway on 3rd down.

That's the kind of defense the Patriots used to be known for. Physical and aggressive.

 
Great defensive play on that bomb to Moss, but you can't help but think it's just a matter of time before they connect on a long one.

 
If the Pats keep chewing up the Falcons with the run, play action is going to carve them up in the second half.

 
OK - they dont need to stop play for this. We all know its an incomplete pass. Its ridiculous that they goto commercial and make an entire production out of this. Its the NFL and the networks looking for more ways to lengthen the game and show more commercials.

Shameful.

Great defensive call by the Pats -- Kind of a zone blitz type look the safety rushing and Tully Banta Cain dropping into coverage. Don't see that one from them too often.

I'm very impressed with the Patriots game plan on both sides of the ball today.

 
Good to know that New England won't be charged with a timeout following Atlanta's successful challenge of a terrible call. :thumbdown:

 
Got away with a bit of PI on that one.

What's up with the playcalling on that series? Fred Taylor was crushing the Falcons - Get him back in the game, Bill!

 
Tom Brady cannot throw a TD pass -- he just can't do it...

Is he scared of the endzone? allegeric or what. He went from a TD machine to a TD joke.

 
Brady looks bad. No guarantee he'll ever return to elite status in my opinion. It might be time to trade on perceived value.

 
Dumb challenge and with the one wasted earlier on the stupid ref call, they are out if something else comes up. Mike Smith knows they can't go down 2 scores the way this defense is getting shredded.
