Welcome to Week 3

This thread will be pinned once it's kickoff time

The Browns shouldn't beat the Ravens. I think the Browns will beat a couple clubs with winning records somewhere this year by winning the turnover battle and getting some big plays from Frye/Winslow/Edwards/etc. Today could be one of those days, but I don't expect it. Its a house money game for the Browns - nothing to lose here.

Brownies have spanked the Ravens in Cle last couple of years, haven't they?

We've split with them the last two years. I think we won 1 at home and away.

Browns' D holds in the red zone...

1st down - McNair hit Clayton but Clayton drops the ball - he might have been a little frustrated at the physical play from a previous catch where the Browns CB got called for a penalty that was declined.

2nd down - Musa Smith up the middle for a few.

3rd down - McNair throws short right but its over the head of the receiver

FG good.

1st down - Frye has barely enough time to pump fake and lob one DEEP over the top to Edwards right sideline to the CLE 47 where he's pushed OOB.

1st down - harrison runs up the middle to the 50.

2nd 8 - pitch left for a loss of 2 - Ravens swarm that thing.

3rd and 5 - Winslow split out as a WR right sideline. Frye looks his way at the start of the play, then looks elsewhere, sees nothing, has pressure, avoids the first guy but then gets brought down on a second attempt for a 9 yard loss.

Ravens, as expected, are getting tremendous pressure on Frye. One play on an earlier drive, down around the CLE 7, Frye handed off and a Raven came thru and almost literally outran him to the handoff.

1st down - I didn't see the play but McNair I guess threw deep right sideline - it was so very unclear wether or not it was a catch that two refs stood there debating the call without giving a signal for about 10 seconds. Finally one gave the catch signal - and immediately CLE challenged. Challenge TO now.

That was Bart Scott, who's a superstar in training IMO. Of course, the guys over in the IDP forum have gotten tired of my pimping him

I didn't think he had caught it in real time, but the replay showed he did.

McNair sacked by McGinest to the CLE 47 I think. He got around his man to the outside and made the sack.

Yeah it was a catch.

1-10-CLE 14 (:27) C.Frye pass short left to K.Winslow to CLV 25 for 11 yards (B.Scott, D.Landry). PENALTY on CLV-K.Winslow, Taunting, 12 yards, enforced at CLV 25.

Looks like he's up to his old tricks. Anyone see what he did?

nice play to Winslow for a 1st down, who then proceeds to get a taunting penalty - back half the distance to the goal

1at and 10 CLE 15 - browns go back to the week 2 trick where Frye take like a 1 step drop and throws it. Hits Winslow for like 9 yards. Winslow hit with a taunting penalty - half the distance to the goal. 1st and 10 at the 13.

It was a pretty ticky-tack penalty if you ask me. The replay showed that Winslow stared at his guy but it was nothing really. There's a lot worse that goes on in the NFL - a lot of trash talking and whatnot. Stupid call.

1st and 10 - Frye has time and hits Edwards short on the right sideline. Edwards makes a play to make the defender miss and runs for a total gain of 12 yards.

1st and 10 CLE 25 - Wright runs up the middle for like 2-3.

2nd down - Frye has time to throw again, hits Northcutt short left - he breaks the tackle and slips away for a huge gain!

1st down - missed it.

2nd down - short pass right to Wright who breaks 2 tackles and gains 4 yards.

LOTS of bad tackling by the Ravens today.

On the punt, it lands around the BAL 7. Browns WR/KR Cribbs is there to down the ball to pin the Ravens deep - but he slips on the turf and it harmlessly bounces its way into the end zone for a touchback.

1st down at BAL 20 - Lewis up the middle for 4.

2nd down - Lewis up the middle for 3.

3nd down and 3 - false start Ravens - now 3rd and 8.
