Game Thread W3 - Cincinnati V NY Giants (1 Viewer)

This is going to be ugly. Palmer might not make it through this game in one piece based of Cincy's first series. I fear for his health

Perry had 1 decent run nothing more. TJ dropped a pass in the end zone when Butler come over the top of his back.

Cincy run blocking looking good, but they cannot pass block to save Carson's life.

Also, while it's early, Bengal defense is defending the run fairly well.

palmer looks terrible and has looked terrible over the last half season or so...he throws more passes short of the first down marker or in this case goal line on 3rd down than anybody i've ever seen.

they line cj and tj up on one side and he doesn't evel look that way. terrible read on his part or the oc is out-thinking himself. if you've got studs, use 'em...

Kevin Boss sighting!

Perry looked good on the last drive, ran hard between the tackles and showed some quickness and strength

Plax almost had a TD... didn't have both feet in bounds on a endzone fade. I'm suprised Giants didn't challenge it looked close

Chad Johnson seems he is having problems getting open off the line of scrimmage. He is not even getting any looks

Giants took far too long before calling time out after the sack. Lost about 10 seconds, which could be vital if they get good field position after the kickoff.

Is Jacobs hurt?

He looked like he was slow to get up on one play where the damn TV broke away....right after that WARD was in.

ward looking good.

I am pretty impressed with the way the Bengals are playing. I am happy (I won't be if the giants lose) that I actually get to watch the giants in a close game because so far it hasn't happened thus far this season. blowouts arent as fun to watch

A lot closer than I thought it would be - Housh looking decent - best Cincy has looked all year so far

The Bengals offense has effectively used the quick WR pass to Chatman to loosen up the Giants defense. Chad Johnson doesn't even seem like a part of the gameplan, rarely being targeted. Palmer looked tentative at first but has calmed down as the game went on. Aside from two completely blown blocks by their tackles the line has held up okay against the great Giants pass rush. Running game has had some holes and Chris Perry showed some burst.

Eli Manning has had all day to throw the ball but has been unable to get on the same page as the wideouts. The Giants remembered they had a tight end and Boss looked good in the first half. If New York wants to win the game they need to pound the rock and/or take some shots deep down the field. Too many underneath passes considering the pass protection. On defense Kenny Philips and Ross look like a really nice, young safety/corner combo.

Cofield having a great day

Quick stat question. Do sack yards take away from rushing or passing yards?

I've seen a little over half the game.......from what I can tell it's a combo of things but mostly they are going to almost everyone else. Not sure if it's because CIN is keying on Burress or what, but they've run the ball a lot despite a lack of succces, erratic throws by Manning, a catch or 2 called back on penalty, etc -

He also made a NICE grab for a TD which to my total amazement Coughlin didn't challenge. Looked in to me.

But mostly it's because I'm starting him. Sorry.

Wonderful. Just great.

I share your pain. Every $#%@ time I watch a play when NY has the ball I'm going "and there goes....somebody not named Burress"

MFING POS - I forgot to mention (probably because it hadn't happened until now - first time in oh at least 5 minutes) it seems damn near EVERY time Manning decides it's time for a sucky throw, it's "aimed" at Burress. WTF did Burress hit on his woman or something?
