Game Thread W3 - Cincinnati v Seattle (1 Viewer)

Well that was quick - Cincy's ST and D already letting them down this week.

7-0 Seattle less than 2 minutes in

Great catch by TJ for what looked like a TD but...

> holding by the offensive line

> called on the field that he was out of bounds - but likely would have been challenged and overruled

Bengals just look sloppy so far. 2 false starts and a holding penalty on the offense

TD TJ though

Chad with a little bit of a pick on the play, but didn't get called. TJ was WIDE open - easy TD catch

7-7

Bengals D looking good against the run so far...but they also kept Jamal Lewis bottled up early on last week and we all saw how that turned out.

SEA's WRs keep getting wide open and making catches. The Bengals DBs look horrible

Housh with a nice catch in traffic, but then fumbled the ball as he was trying to get some extra yards

Can someone watching the game give me a little overview of what's going on with the Bengals running game?

Rudi's been relatively ineffective - he had a decent run or two, but nothing great so far. SEA has done a good job of getting penetration and putting pressure on Rudi

Very next play is a ball that gets tipped and the Bengals get an INT of their own!
Tipped off both hands by a wide open TE. I bet sometimes he doesn't feel bad at throwing them a ball that sets them up for a big hit. The dropsies are a permanent fixture of his game. Dunno why.

Once they get up by two scores we'll really gett to see rudi. He hasnt really had that opportunity all year.

SEA is just owning the line of scrimmage against the run. Cincy counters that with a sweet screen pass to Rudi for ~35 yards

great screen to rudi. I would like to see more of that.
 if the Bengals aren't having success with the run, they'll have to mix in the screen a bit more or else SEA will sellout against the pass and keep putting Palmer into the ground

Deltha O'Neal should have had a pick. Hasselbeck threw a bad pass right to him and he just dropped it. Crap

Michael Myers has been a great acquisition for the Bengals. He's been one of the more effective defenders for the Bengals this game (just had a sack on 3rd down)

Palmer throws an INT that looks pretty similar to the one that ended last week's game. Man - just when the Bengals are getting some momentum with their D, they give it away with a turnover

Caleb Miller hurt, but walking off the field on his own. He'll be missing some plays, so the Bengals already thin LB crew is going to be even weaker for a while. That can't be a good thing

TD bomb to Branch.

14-10

Branch with a simple post route and just outran Jonathan Joseph. Poor D, again

2 drops in a row for Chad, both would have been 1st downs

On the first one, he just didn't put the ball away, lost his shoe, and stepped out of bounds

The second one was thrown behind him, but he still got his hands on it

Alexander looks like he reinjured his hand on the last run - he was on the sideline grimacing and holding his wrapped up hand

Reinjured? Had he injured it earlier? Obvious but I missed that. Update anything on this please. Not an owner, but a fan. TIA.

Umm, Rudi better get his head out of his ### and produce something! I've glaced through this but is he playing like crap or is Seattle doing well at stuffing him?

He injured it in week 1 I believe. He's been playing with it wrapped/braced
Yeah that was a minor injury barely discussed. Seahawks don't have Maurice Morris today either. Ugh.

“We’re being real careful with that. He sprained his wrist. He feels good. He feels really good about playing with that thing. He feels better so they’re going to rig something up for him during the game; allow him to play. He’s limited slightly with that thing. It’s different. Let me put it that way. He has to get used to it a little bit. It’s a cast, a small cast. I think it does affect him, certainly, but I told him, ‘Hey, maybe we put a cast on the other hand and things will get better. I don’t know.’ Seriously, anytime a running back or receiver has to wear one of those it’s different.”
From Seahawks Insider after week one. Guess I just muffed the punt on thinking he was fine.

Illegal formation for the Bengals. I think that's 5 procedure calls against the offense so far in the game. Gotta be more disciplined than that!

Loving the new safeties. Russell faced these guys twice a year for Cleveland and knows how to play them. Trufant has done a good job at keeping CJ from going crazy.
