Game Thread W3 - NY Giants V Tampa Bay (1 Viewer)

Textbook drive by the Giants. Nice mix of running and passing. Jacobs practically walked into the end zone. So far Smith is the receiver Manning looks for first. One of his catches could have been picked off but the Buc defender just missed the ball before it got to Smith.

Giants are having their way with Tampa Bay. No pressure on Eli at all. Bradshaw had a nice long run aided by a missed tackle. Steve Smith is on fire. Eli is locked in on him.

I'm surprised about that. He seemed to rely on Manningham when he was in a pinch last week. So far he's relying on Smith. Looks like it'll be a 1a & 1b situation all year.

Manningham dropped one earlier that he should have had and he just juggled one on the sidelines that was ruled incomplete though it would have been nullified by a penalty had it been ruled a catch.

The one he dropped looked like it was knocked out of his hands by Talib.

I thought he should have had it but you might be right.

Could Jacobs be any slower?
Runs straight up. Not breaking much in the way of tackles. He looks bad today. Bradshaw looks like a beast though. They need to play the hot hand and it's not BJ.Oh and Tynes just misses the easiest FG attempt you'll ever have.

You're right on Bradshaw. It's not even close who looks like the better back today. The G-Men have completely dominated but it's only 14-0. Jacobs getting stuffed followed by Tynes inexplicable miss cost them one score and Eli overthrew Boss on an earlier drive to force a punt. It could be a blowout right now.

Crowd on its feet as Cadillac gets the team's first first down of the game with under five minutes left in the 3rd quarter. Leftwich celebrates by almost throwing an INT on the next play.

Winslow then drops one and Leftwich throws it away on third down. Another punt.

Stevens drops what would have been the Bucs second first down of the game. Of course if he had caught it the Giants would have taken the penalty. Is it backup QB time?

EDIT: I meant the Bucs but David Carr is in for the Giants.

Eli banged up, or is Carr in because they're so far ahead?

The latter.Josh Johnson in for the Bucs (finally). Scrambles for Bucs second first down of the day. Then a lame PI call gets them another.

Johnson looked ok in garbage time. Drove Bucs to the NYG five. Michael Clayton dropped a sure TD in the end zone and the Bucs wound up not scoring. At least they didn't kick a lame FG just to avoid the shutout.
