Game Thread W4 - Arizona V NY Jets (1 Viewer)

Anyone adjusting their rosters to avoid the nagging rain? It's by no means devastating (here in North Jersey) but seems like wet conditions all day long...

 
Keller targetted for a 20 yardish play on third down and five... he was hit by two players and the ball was knocked away, but interesting to see Favre go to the rookie for a long play on third.

 
Anybody know why Washington is getting carries over Jones to start the game? Did Washington start? Is Jones hurt?

 
Two kinds of people are going to be pissed if TJ ain't playing a big role:

1. TJ owners

2. Leon owners who could have started him over Westbrook. :lmao:

 
Warner slow to react to an oncoming pass rush fumbles the ball backwards, Edge gets it, then on third down, Warner goes back to Boldin, who catches it then fumbles and gives the Jets another 20 yards of field position. On those two plays, the Cards went from field goal range to the Jets taking over in their own territory. Ouch

 
Favre makes a terrible pass thinking he's got a free play from defensive offsides, gets picked off and the Cards take over inside their own territory. Both defenses getting turnovers early.

 
Warner's a great quarterback, but he's terrible at getting rid of the ball when the pressure comes. Intentional grounding on third and two and they turn a chipshot into a 37 yard field goal attempt that gets blocked.

 
The Favre exposure continues - I'd love it a lot more if I didn't have to keep starting Jets :goodposting:

And to add: WHERE TF is Jones??

 
Favre with back to back pass attempts to Coles in the end zone. The first one was stopped by a nice defensive play; the second one was successful in the back of the end zone.

Has Warner lost a fumble in the game today? Your description indidates he didn't lose his fumble but the NFL.com box score is showing he did lose a fumble? Just wondering. thanks.

He lost it and Edgerrin recovered IIRC.
 
An end around is not a reverse.

It's a common mistake, but not one that NFL announcers should me making.

In fact, that NFL announcers repeatedly make it is the likely reason it is so common.

Carry on.

 
Another TD pass targetted for Coles in the end zone, but it's broken up on a nice play by the defensive back. That's four end zone targets for Coles, and two TDs to show for it.

One more TD pass attempt, this one to Stuckey, but not a great throw by Favre.

 
Another fumble.

Warner turnover watch: 2 INTs, 2 fumbles now

He had no fumbles through the first three games, FWIW.

this looks like one of those games for Kurt where he ends up with more turnovers than total yards

 
This game is excruciating to watch. Warner looks horrible. I would not be surprised to see Leinhart in the second half.

 
Favre with another nice pass play to Coles. Favre steps up in the pocket to avoid the rush, fires a bullet and Coles plucks it out of the air with his hands. I don't own Coles in any league but I kind of wish I did right now.

 
And another long pass to Coles on the sideline. 4 catches, 80 yards, 2 TDs, plus two more targets in the red zone that didn't get caught.

 
Favre coming up limping on the previous play (probably his ankle), but throws a moonball to Coles for his third TD of the day.

 
Theyre going to be up by at least 27 going into halftime, if TJ doesnt get 15+ carries on the 2nd half, im gonna be pisssssssssed

And jesus..I think its official that Coles is Favre's #1....So much for me buying into Cotchery busting out this year :rolleyes:

 
The Cards should start Leinart in the second half and get him some reps. Warner is beyond useless right now.
