Game Thread W4 - Arizona V San Diego (1 Viewer)

Nice drive by the Chargers. Rivers has thrown a TD pass in 17 straight games and Gates has caught a TD in 8 straight games. The Cards might want to cover him...

Actually, if I was SD, I would go with Tolbert over Mathews at this point. Tolbert is doing better than Mathews ever did healthy. Sucks for Mathews owners, though.

SD News paper said he was back to 100%.. He missed one game, don't think plays changed that much..
(1). Don't believe everything you read.(2). Tolbert's no slouch.(3). Other than Rivers and Gates, the rest of the offense is pretty fungible.(4). Don't rush to assumptions based on one quarter of play.

I will add right now Matthews could be 3rd on the depth chart.. And your right about the paper.. Every moron had Jackson out today.

I'm all for scrapping the running game altogether until one Charger RB can prove he can hold on to the ball. This is getting crazy.

I've said it before and I'll say it again -- Sproles is not the same player that he was the last couple of years. I have no idea why Norv remains so committed to him.

Does Antonio Gates make a one-handed reception every game? I can't remember the last time I watched the Chargers and he didn't have one.

I'll say this for the Chargers, it seems like they never kick a FG once they get inside the 30. All Kaeding kicks is XP.

People need to relax on Mathews. The Chargers didn't trade up in the draft to grab this guy and bury him on the bench. He is coming off an injury. They are easing him in. Tolbert will get carries all year too, but Mathews will be a big part of what they do in the ground game. They aren't just going to give him 20+ carries first game back.

Doesn't matter, if Tolbert is better, he is better.. People grabbed Matthews high, no way will people be happy about a 1st or 2nd round FF pick splitting carries on a 60/40 base.
