Game Thread W4 - New England vs. Miami (1 Viewer)

Pats D blows this year.
Honestly when they went thru the NE defense I didn't recognize any of them outside of Wilfolk. Guys like Bruschi and Harrison are retired, Seymour and Samuel have moved on...not much left.
No factor this year they are a step behind the big boys in the AFC
I dont question the theme of your post but who are the big boys in the AFC?
Ravens Jets Pitt
Chiefs

Wake looks unbelievable. I haven't watched the Dolphins yet this year - is he having an unusually active game, or is he always this disruptive?

What happened to the Vollmer from last year? He is really dissapointing tonight.

Another crap play call by O'Brien.

Think Bill knows he can't put his D right back out there? I think we will see many carries for Morris/BJGE tonight.

I just traded for Wake in a Dynasty and he was a throw in at the end I would like to know this as well. I got him for depth might he be more?

I wonder if you put a cone in the middle of the Fins picket how long it would take a Patriot to knock it over if they rushed 5.

Dear Chad,

They are sniffing out your short passes. Throw a couple long ones to keep them honest.

Thanks!

Hes the real deal and has been involved in a ton of big plays so far this year. Miami let go of Jason Taylor and Joey Porter in the offseason because they knew he was ready to step up. Athletic wise, hes a freak - 44 inch vertical and an explosive first step at 255 pounds. He will be a double digit sack guy this year.

if you're the pats and you have moss, why the #### wouldn't you force the ball to him a lot more often.

I see they just targeted moss and he blew it.... but honestly why is this guy getting 2-5 catches a week instead of 10

Because he isn't a 10 catch guy. He is a 5 BIG catch guy. Welker is your 10 catch guy.

I think that was actually more of a poor pass by Brady than Moss blowing the catch.

They were scoring a lot last week and that almost back fired against Buffalo. Someone else psoted and it's likely true that the Pats don't want their defense out there too much and want to try and play some ball control even with little in the running game so they hit the short passes to Hernandez and Welker.

Kind of a boring game, 7-6.

Miami though, inexcusable to have a high energy guy like Marshall and only target him one time. Double coverage my ###, the Pats aren't that good, it's not like Samuel and Harrison are double covering the guy.

I thought it was a bit of both. I'm mystified by the Dolphins and Patriots refusing to throw to Marshall and Moss. If the coverages are sliding toward them, find a way to get them involved. They're making the jobs much easier for the defenses by not even trying to get them involved. I'm sure the Dolphins and Pats will be happy to let Welker and Bess catch 20 passes underneath apiece tonight.
