Game Thread W4 - New England vs. Miami (1 Viewer)

if you're the pats and you have moss, why the #### wouldn't you force the ball to him a lot more often.I see they just targeted moss and he blew it.... but honestly why is this guy getting 2-5 catches a week instead of 10
Because he isn't a 10 catch guy. He is a 5 BIG catch guy. Welker is your 10 catch guy.
ok - well why isn't he getting that semi consistently - has he lost a step without us knowing?did he quit on the pats like he did on the raiders over this contract ####?maybe i don't understand football strategy, but i would run screens to moss, force the ball to him multiple times a game, or do some other stuff to get him involved.I just wouldn't have high profile expensive receiver and not get the ball in his hands somehow.. unless he were so badass that he drew consistent double and triple coverage and made it just ultra easy to chuck it to other guys.... which is seemingly not the case either

Both teams are letting the opposition dictate their offensive approach. That doesn't strike me as very smart. Seems to me if I had players like Moss and Marshall I'd make sure each of them was getting at least a half dozen targets every half. And with Moss, you should be taking 2-3 shots downfield. He's still arguably the most lethal big-play WR in the league. But the Patriots aren't even trying to throw to him deep. That makes no sense to me.

i'm sorry for the #####ing but i need 50 ####### yards TOTAL from Moss and Marshall and not one ### #### CATCH in the first half!!!! ARGGGHHHHH!!!!!!

i'm not even talking about just this game... as far as i know moss just doesn't get adequate targets overall.. unless he's lost a step i don't know about.how many catches does he have to "not get" before they don't cover him as hard and he starts blowing up again?

If the Patriots can keep establishing the run and finding Hernandez in the middle of the field, it might open up some things for Moss on the outside. This first drive of the second half will be interesting.

I'd be more inclined to stay with this approach if the Patriots were winning big and rolling offensively. But they're struggling badly in the second half in particular and tonight they couldn't score a touchdown in the first half. Seems to me that maybe getting Moss involved might be an idea to consider. I don't wear a hoodie but that strikes me as possibly an idea worth contemplating.

IDP guys - why hasn't Chung been on the field?
Has he not been on the field or has he not done anything? .. I have him on my bench.
Not on the field in the 2nd Q. I'm hoping he was just benched for the Bess TD and he'll be back in..
Chung back in at start of 2nd half
That must count for something?
pretty sure it counts for tackle opportunites...oh yeah and blocked punts

No points for the blocked punt :lmao:

Benjarvus' coming out party. This is gonna be SICK!
:lmao: Guy is a beast! Where the hell is Yudkin
Was't his coming out party last week with 95 yds and a TD?
Last week was for those who still had some doubt. This week is for the non-believers. The ones who says he's a slow plodding back with no moves. Belichick intentionally tries to mess with our fantasy squads by spreading the ball around. NE has too many weapons to ever utilize him fully. I dunno, I've been saying it all around. He's got stud written all over him.

Henne almost threw pick #3 on the last drive...maybe he should sit for Pennington the rest of the night.
yea and on that play marshall was coming across the field and he didn't even look that way. 2 tight end sets is not the way to spread the field. i'm sick of the play calling. the first drive of the game, 3rd and 6 and we run our first wildcat play. arrrghh..edit..oh wait there was almost pick #3 again

As a Brady, Welker, and Hernandez owner, this Special Teams crap needs to stop. :lmao:
always strange the things FFL makes you root for that the actual players/fans of the team could care less about. But I agree, this is grade A bullcrap going on.forget the TD's... if Moss has 12 catches through 4 weeks that's grounds for being a bust.
