Game Thread W4 - New Orleans V Carolina (1 Viewer)

Nice defensive series by the Saints helped by the stupid decision of Foster to reverse field and backtrack, thus losing 10 yards.

Geaux Saints.

How did Foster lose 10 yards on that carry?
Almost tackled, then turned around to reverse field and just kept backtracking hoping he'd eventually get blocks. Saints swarmed him and took him down. Originally would have lost a couple, then backed himself up a good 7-8 more.

Foster may have well run straight to the bench to sit the rest of this one out. He's awful.

He pushed the pile really well to get that 1st down. I think he's just trying to do too much. He looks pretty good, but he doesn't have a Super Bowl line anymore. He needs to get that.

McKenzie just saved a TD with diving tackle, DeAngelo broke one for 31 yds

Reggie "returning" punts now. Just stood in one place and juked back and forth until hit. Seemed a little excessive when he could have gotten 5 yards instead.

Saints playcalling looks positively pedestrian compared to the start of the season. Doesn't bode well for today. Though while I was typing that Colston got a 1st.

Bush just fumbled in the Saints game, but the ref blew the whistle before it was recovered. How can this be reviewable. I hate when they blow the whistle to early, but the Saints weren't fighting for the ball because the whistle blew. Terrible rule.

I don't understand how you can challenge that... I mean, the ball was still loose when the ref blew his whistle... How can you award the ball to Carolina there? Lame rule.

Steve Smith just limped off, Fujita hit his knee, buckled a little but didn't look too bad

Fujita just took Steve Smith out in the left lower leg/knee area away from the play. It looks like he either slipped into him or intentionally smacked him below the knee.

Smith comes up limping off the field.

I just rewinded it and watched it 3x. You could definitely see Fujita's feet stumble and that is what made him fall.

However, as he was falling he kind of threw himself into Smith.

I don't think it was intentional, but I can definitely understand why people would.
