Game Thread W4 - St.Louis V San Francisco (1 Viewer)

maybe I can pick up some of the SF offensive players off waivers in my IDP league, I may be able to score some good tackle numbers off them.

I walked away from the TV for a few minutes while SF was on their last drive just to see if Barlow suprised me with some yardage. I was suprised all right - he lost 1 yard

Didn't Dr. York say that the Bengals were his "model franchise"? Looks like he was successful.edited for spelling

Martz blows a timeout......he needs to design a special play to beat that tough 49er defense. Ummmm......I think they're gonna throw the ball.

good thing the Seahawks took that shutout record last week. Looks like the rams would have taken it this week anyway. I wonder when the last time the niners were shut out on back to back weeks? Probably never, but we may see it tonight.

Why must Martz try to "outsmart" someone when his team is clearly better? He makes more mistakes trying to be more complicated than he needs to be...a futile attempt to prove himself intelligent.[/end rant]

probably in the 70's

I really hate Mike Martz. This guy has one of the games most prolific TD scorers ever and doesn't seem to want to give it to him from the 1 foot line. Unbelievable!!!!

Have to agree. He shoots himself in the foot too frequently. 1st and goal on the 1 foot line. Run, run, run. Also, I think Faulk should of been in there rather than a rook but hey I'm not the coach. Just the FF guy needing Faulk.

They were shut out twice in 1977, but not in back to back games.Same in 1960, not back to back.Per Pro Football Reference, they've never been shut out back to back, at least from 1950 on.

I just glad I just need 80 total yard between Jamal Leiws and Barlow to get to 4 and 0...... So far Barlow has 20 of them..... :(

atleast they will accomplish something tonight

Family Matters, good luck to you against Ron. A tad early for me to say this but I'm taking a break from the board for a couple of days. There is going to be a huge Barlow backlash that will dwarf any other backlash that has happened before now. I don't like the niners but I do respect their past success but now it's just pity, and that's after Collins throws three picks and the Raiders lose. It's bad.

just checked it out......and it's NEVER.

They were shutout twice in four games in 1977. That's the last time they were shutout twice in a season.

I'd like to see 40 yards out of Barlow. That would be enough for me. Do you think maybe he could handle that?Erickson, you are a genius.

Bulger AND Barlow are KILLING me! I need the exact opposite to happen. Frisco needs to be up and run so the rams can throw all day long.....AT this rate Bulger will end up w/ 125 and a td and Barlow = 6 yards after he keeps losing! (ers are the Bucs of the 80's!

Thanks. You always need it against the staff. As for the backlash, which will be bigger, Barlow or Griffith?

Ok...I admit I need Faulk to score tonight. With that said........doesn't Marshall only need 1 rushing TD to have 100? You'd think they try and get it for him.

really could use bulger throwing a few! I hope the 9ers fire Erickson after this week. Maybe they can bring back George Hallas and get some Defense!

I bet Martz has no idea. He only knows that he knows everything.
