Game Thread W4 - Washington V Dallas (1 Viewer)

Great game, Redskins. I always hate when Dallas loses but Washington played well and they deserve it.

I'm also impressed with their fans in this thread as this rivalry can be argued by many as the greatest in the league and nobody acted like a tool in here IMO, so hats off.

I played against Brett Farve in fantasy football today and now a Dallas loss in the evening ####!

The only thing worse than the Cowboys losing is the Cowboys losing to the Redskins.

The game wasnt as close as the score in my opinion. Dallas got their cocky behinds kicked.

Thanks man. We'll play at least one more time this year, see you in that thread.

Retire all doubt that this is the best division in the NFL.

It is possible that all four teams could be ranked in the Top 5 at this point - if Philly wins.

:thumbup:As a Dallas homer, I have to admit that Washington just beat my 'Boys. Dallas was outplayed in every single aspect of the game this week. Washington sure has come a long way from where they were in Week 1. See y'all later this season!eta: And how sick is this division. Not sure I've seen a division this stacked in my lifetime (33). Brutal.

Great game Skins. That was a true butt-whippin' as the game was not as close as the score. As Cowboy fan, you hope that this team takes from this game where they need to improve and move forward. As Redskin fan, enjoy the day, you truly earned it.

This division scares the heck out of me. I only hope that the 4 teams don't beat on each other so bad that they aren't at their best come playoff time. It would be very easy to see 3 teams out of this division in the playoffs and the team that sits out will be probably in the top 6-8 teams in the NFC. Simply brutal.

The Redskin D-line was better today than it's been all year. Jason Taylor was out. Didn't Demetric Evans replace him?

This may be an obvious question that's already been asked, but how's Barber only getting 8 carries in that game, when theyre something like 22-1 when he has 12 carries or more? It seemed as though Washington pretty much dominated most of the action, but the score was never really out of hand. It really seemed like the Dallas O playcalling dropped the ball not keeping Barber more involved. Or was he hurt and out or something? Did I miss something there with that. Clue me in, homers.

Barber had very few good runs, got stopped at or near the line, and Dallas didn't appear to believe he could help keep drives alive.

For some reason Jason Garrett wanted to come out and feature the shotgun formation in this game, which is not condusive to the running game. More than half of their plays ( I think it was 19 in the first half, and 17 in the second half) were from the shotgun formation. Plain and simple, it was just a poor gameplan. Garrett even admitted to it. By all means, you have to give the Redskins credit for a very well played game. But, given Dallas' approach, the Cowboys backed themselves into it. They didn't give their offensive line the opportunity to establish themselves on the offensive line. You can't dominate when you're predominately in pass protection. They were never out of this game, but by their play-calling you'd think they were. I thought for sure that they would start getting Felix Jones involved in the second half, but that didn't happen either. They just got away from the running game, for no good reason, and it cost them the game.I'm sure they'll learn from it.ETA: Everybody around here knows this one was on Jason Garrett, not Wade Phillips.

IIRC, last year Barber only had like 4 or 6 yards in one game vs the Skins. They just do a great job shutting him down.

He only got 8 freakin' carries. In fact, there were only 8 carries total for RB's. That's pathetic. If anyone shut down Dallas's running game it was Dallas.
