Game Thread W5 - Kansas City V Carolina (1 Viewer)

The obvious: DA Williams with two TD's.

Huard being harassed and very inaccurate. What could Bowe do in a decent offense while being targeted the most in the NFL?

DeAngelo Williams with his 3rd TD today. Kinda glad I started him.

Apparently Stewart fumbled and lost the ball between Williams 1st and 2nd TD

I started J. Stewart.
Me too. Hey, it ain't over yet. Plenty of carries yet to come in this game.Speaking of which, I'd like to take this opportunity to express my utter disdain for Herm Edwards. JUST GET LJ THE DAMN BALL, HERMY! IT'S NOT ROCKET SURGERY!! :hophead:

5 carries at halftime for LJ? I'm guessing from the comments, he ain't hurt, just hobbled by coaching again?

Well, it's not easy to come back from down 21 by running the ball. :ptts:
Depends on if you want that 21 to double by the end of the game or not - you need to stick with the running game and get him going, get some drives going, and keep the Carolina offense off the field. Also theoretically get the pass opened up by pulling in the defense to stack on the run. That, of course, assumes that KC can stop the Car. offense a few times. And also, since I'm not watching the game, so it's easily be that KC is just completely inept, period. Seems that you wouldn't want to get away from your strengths though, ie. running the ball.

Seriously?
I'm not watching the game, so I can't comment on the coaching, but yeah, seriously. You've gotta be a damn good team (or pretty lucky) to cut through a 21-point lead by running the football. You're trying to dispute this idea?

Never mind, just loaded nfl.com gamecenter - KC is just inept - fumble, Carolina is about to score again.

It's a good idea in theory, but when you can't pass for ####, Carolina has no incentive to sit back and play the nickel all 2nd half.

They have almost no semblence of a passing game, which means they will just stack the line on LJ every play. They look horrible.......again.

At halftime of the early games, DA has scored more by himself that my opp's 8 starters.

I'm watching the game, and Carolina's D is play very well today. They are applying a lot of pressure on Huard, and not letting their O do anything.

Good news:

Larry Johnson has 200 rushing yards combined from today and his last game.

Bad news:

Larry Johnson had 198 rushing yards in his last game.

:hifive:

I have both J Stewart and Deangelo. I started both. Against KC one of them will have a huge game. I plan to sell high on Williams tho

You don't think people are smart enough to know DW doesn't duplicate this game the rest of his career?

Anyone actually watching the game?

I saw a bit of the first half and it just looked like the KC line couldn't protect Huard at ALL.

Wow, KC's receiver stopped his route, and there was no KC player there to catch the pass, but Ken Lucas was there to catch it.

Someone should maybe tell THE HERMINATOR that running backs are actually allowed to go out for passes in this league.Or that LJ used to be a pretty good receiver, back when they used to pass to him.

DWill and JStew have pretty much been splitting carries thi entire year. Up until now, JStew has done a little more with those carries, but DWill still has been a productive member of this offence. Fact is, while there is better probability that JStew comes up better over the course of this year, to think that DWill can't have another game this season, let alone over the course of his career, with 100+ yards and multiple TDs seems specious.

Sorry to rain on your parade but yes Steward will be the feature back by the end of the year and don't hold your breath waiting for another 150 yard 3 td game from Williams because that won't happen again splitting carries. Hope he was in your lineup today.

You Herm's Brother...Herman Edwards is the worst coach in the league, he completly ran that team into the ground. Why he keeps the job I don't know. And I say this as a Bronco fan.
:o This guy is such a loser at coaching. No one in the history of NFL HC's has destroyed offenses like this bum.
