Game Thread W5 - Pittsburgh V Detroit (1 Viewer)

Culpepper looked like he was running from the police on that carry..his speed is back!!

Hopefully he can go one series without fumbling...two already.

i just really don't like Culpepper....i appreciate that he got in a lot better shape this year, but his accuracy is terrible. he's very Jamarcusy.

Culpepper seems to lock onto Pettigrew...if Stafford doesn't get back soon, it's not going to matter whether or not CJ is playing.

Anyone see what happened to Mega? Insight on the problem?
He got hit hard on a hi/lo, and was driven into the ground pretty good. The way the play went, it could be anything from the sole of his foot up to his hip. No obvious twists or wrong-way bends. The fact that they were looking at his knee on the sideline is the extent of the meaningful info watching the game would get you.

That was last week against the Bears

Accuracy wise Culpepper isn't going to become Peyton Manning or Tom Brady but he does look solid today against a very tough defense.

Didn't see that. But unless the bear was wearing a really convincing James Harrison costume, it was this week too.

40 posts - and no Mendall opinions? I would appreciate one.
He's looked very good. Running tough, and showing some hands to boot. Could very easily have had 2 TD's in the first half. (Penalty cost him one.)On the flip side, Moore saw enough action that they're clearly not going to run him till he drops, even when he's playing well.

Calvin just pulled up lame in the endzone on 1st and goal.

On another note, if you need TE help, the Lions are going to get Pettigrew the ball. They really look for the big body, especially if Calvin is on the sideline.

That was a play or two after the Harrison hit. He started limping then, after a WR screen, but tried to stay in the game.

Culpepper is terrible. he seriously looks like Russel out there. I think today should put an end to any speculation about whether playing Stafford was the right move. Stafford has looked far better....that last INT was a rookie move...just terrible.

Good call. You can tell Pettigrew is feeling more comfortable every week.

Um...then again he just threw the worst interception I've seen all season.Horrible...he does know he can just throw the ball out of bounds, right?
