Game Thread W5 - Seattle V Pittsburgh (1 Viewer)

Yeah, Parker got worked pretty tough on that drive and seemed to pull himself out of the game at the one...

Any Santonio Holmes sightings?
He's on the sidelines out for the game, there are no sightings to be had.
Do you know if he started?
Oh. CRAP. That sucks... I'm getting burned in a number of leagues, didn't see this anywhere.
That's cuz FBG have been sleeping a bit this year. I swear the quick updates took a huge dip this year. CBS and Fanball have been getting news out faster than FBG

how in the hell is davenport getting goal line carries over parker did i miss something tomlin youre an idiot.
Why is he an idiot? The play-calling worked. Davenport scored the touchdown. I know many get ticked when their guy doesn't score, but remember, the goal of an NFL head coach is to win games, not to appease us fantasy football nerds. :blackdot:

They didn't take FWP to the lockerroom did they? Nice ...he not only gets the TD taken away, Davenport gets 2 #######' plunges.

Wow - didn't know that particular "makes it past PG censors" word doesn't go through. I kept it clean man.

I have wondered if they ever mess with us. "Parker has 99 yards and the game is pretty much over. Lets make those internet boys cry by resting him so that he stays at exactly 99."

Was Willie pulled because he needed a breather or is there a chance Davenport is the new TD vulture? I don't think Davenport makes a very good GL back, he's too slow to the LOS, but FWP has struggled to convert this year and stranger things have happened.

When exactly did it happen? I have him in too, but from my understanding it happened after the general cutoff time.

First I heard of it is when Joe Buck mentioned it after the first Steeler drive.

Announcers said the coaching staff told them "Parker is the goal line back unless he is tired." Take it for what it's worth.

If anyone was paying attention to Pittsburgh in the preseason...

The practices have had Najeh Davenport as the first replace Parker almost everytime the first week.

And Davenport does get an even larger increase of time at the goalline.

He is the only one running with the first team besides Parker.
... you would have known the possibility. I posted that before the season started when people were wondering who the back up to Parker was, with Haynes, Poop and Barlow around.

As a Pittsburgh fan... I welcome it and think its a very smart thing for Tomlin to do for the betterment of the Steelers.

Seattle fans were gracious in their loss
:P
There are about three or four Seattle fans that post regularly on this board. Please link me to post from one of them that proves you right. Doc Detroit, Scientist, Shick, proninja, and just a few others were all gracious in the loss. You may like to think otherwise, but that's a fact.
Incredible that you know this given you joined six weeks ago. There were (and still are occasionally) plenty of posts from The Scientist that do not fit your description. But it's not just this forum, it's comments from Holmgren and media like Colin Cowherd (with ties to the Pacific Northwest) that lead to these comments about whining and discrediting the Steelers. You might also want to visit the forums at seattlepi.com and see what was posted there.

Also, countless pages from Seahawks fans still whining about the game can be found easily on the Internet: Exhibit A

Shick and Dr D. were pretty cool about it. But to say that they represent the majority of seahawk fans is SILLY.

Have a gander at this thread on scout.com:

http://mbd.scout.com/mb.aspx?s=114#s=114&a...5&t=1151055

That's pretty much the feeling I got everywhere. A bunch of crying with a few rational posters sprinked in here and there. Also remember that on this board Shick! either locked or deleted a most of the threads with the excessive whining.

Just saw when Pitt was down low Davenport was in at goaline... Wasnt Parker supposed to be the goaline back as well

I've been around a long time. Created several accounts after I had email changes and bounced around.
