Yeah that was dumb.WR reverse killed the drive. Atlanta probably lost 4 points by being cute.
I agree with this but it's tough to pressure him on a 3 step drop when he releases the ball right away.Looking for the Bears D to show up on this drive. Have to get more pressure on Ryan and force him to think more quickly. So far, our D line hasn't shown up well.
Yeah we've got to shake up Ryan more. That's the Bears D we know and love!! I'm sure this will be challenged and reversed, but love the penetration there.
Read a blurb the other day that he was actually a little underrated numbers wise coming out of BC due to his receivers dropping something like 67 balls last year.Matt Ryan looks like a stud so far

Yes - Griese threw for 400+ yards on them this year. Bottom line is that it will be a looooooong day for Chicago if they also can't keep the offense on the field for some long drives, as the Chicago D is a small/fast D that can really get worn out when on the field too long. Can the Bears' defense be had through the air? I've not watched enough of them this season to know, but the rookie is throwing all over Creation right now.
He walked off field on his own, he'll be back I'm guessing. Nice drop right in the bread basket Finneran.Roddy White TD called back for illegal pants downfield. White takes a shot and is still down in the end zone. Might have re-scrambled his eggs.
Most excellent jinxnice to see the the head injury isn't hurting Roddy so far
has he been back in since that TD got called back"?Most excellent jinxnice to see the the head injury isn't hurting Roddy so far
Just got called for PI and then a receptionhas he been back in since that TD got called back"?Most excellent jinxnice to see the the head injury isn't hurting Roddy so far
WR fighting for a catch is lame? This helps explain things - I had NO idea that Nathan Vasher is out for this game. That is certainly helping Ryan look good, as there's a huge drop off from our starting corners. If Tilman is out due to that lame play by White, it'll be trouble for us.
Atlant's had the ball the whole half, almost literally. Forte just hasn't gotten in to a rhythm yet.So, what is going on with Forte? 10 yds rushing and no receptions? ATL selling out on him?
I said in an old thread last year that I thought Ryan was the most NFL ready of the qb's heading into the draft. Got laughed at..."Brohm is NFL ready now". Who's laughing now?Said this before on the board, but I'm a huge Falcons fan and liked the Ryan pick but never imagined he'd play as well as he has so far. He's been fantastic but three things in particular jump out at me:1. He's as poised as about any rookie I've ever seen2. His arm strength is even better than I thought3. He's more mobile than I thought. He's not Vick running around obviously, but despite how well our O-line has played they still aren't one of the better lines in the league (yet) but he's able to move around and by some time.As for today's game we really need to convert one of the drives in to a TD. If we can do it here before the half we will be in good shape.
Looked it up, time of possession was 20:01 to 9:59 in Atlanta's favor. Bears D may tire in the 2nd so look for a good amount of carries for Turner. I fear we may come back to regret not finishing off a couple of those drives.Atlant's had the ball the whole half, almost literally. Forte just hasn't gotten in to a rhythm yet.So, what is going on with Forte? 10 yds rushing and no receptions? ATL selling out on him?
Brian Urlacher? No, I guess not. I don't think people realized how much Ryan did with almost no surrounding talent at BC (although the defense was good).I said in an old thread last year that I thought Ryan was the most NFL ready of the qb's heading into the draft.
