Game Thread W6 - Philadelphia V Oakland (1 Viewer)

Jesus..and they screw up the punt coverage too.

Right now Eagles are playing 8-men-out level of bad ball here. Unreal... :thumbup:

not sure what injuries have to do with it.It's mostly a few big plays given up by the defense and the raiders getting too much pressure, even before Peters got hurt.Also, the usual pass/run imbalance isn't helping.

the injuries since the start of the season have them using guys who should not be starters..nick cole, mjg and now peters hurting..king dunlap, the 7th rounder, is at LT, he is a project guy. their starting o line ws supposed to be peters, herrimans jackson, andrews andrews.....its been make shift all year with not good backups.it shows today, mcnabb is gonna get killed back there

Eagles O-Line sucks. Dunlap is getting owned by Seymour.

On offense Russell just makes an unreal pass to convert a 3rd down.

 
McNabb and Vick on the field at the same time.

McNabb got confused...called a time out...but the Eagles did not have more time outs. Five yard penalty.

Next play...McNabb got sacked.

Akers hit a 43 yard FG....10-6

 
Philly just called a timeout with no timeouts. End up getting a Delay of Game penalty. McNabb gets sacked on the next play by Richard Seymour.

 
someone mentioned D....

their d line gets no pressure. the DTs are stuffers, they get normal pressure i would say. no one opposite trent cole either. with the 23023103120132 DEs they bring in and have, none of them are showing they should play more then 1 down a set lol.

wont even go into the LBs...but when you have to bring trotter back in, you know your depth at LB is putrid

as for the O line...if you cut max jean gilles, nick cole and king dunlap..you would NOT see them starting for another team.

 
It's almost like the Eagles/Raiders swapped jerseys before the game. :wall:

Ok...that was clearly intentional grounding by Russel. That would have made the 46 yard FG attempt a lot harder. About the 4th or 5th call the refs have missed. :fishing:

this is what happens when you plan to have your starting O line be a head case with a bad back and a guy coming off knee surgery and your back up MLB being the starting OLB this is all on reidpoor back up players

well our LG is coming back next week maybe ( herrimans )...he is a solid player. dont know about peters, i heard it might be a season ending injury. dunlap is not a 3rd stringer ( peters back up ) ..yea gonna be ugly, gonna be 40-50 attempt games for mcnabb nowseem the refs forgot to bring the eagles flags today

Dunlap is getitng Winston Justiced over there at LT....Reids failure to adjust in game again.

No protection at all.

 
Umm that was really stupid right? the timeout at 2:02 gave them the option of passing. I'm not missing something am I?

 
The Raiders beat the snot out of the Eagles today in every facet of the game.

Looking at the bigger picture.... the Birds could be in real trouble.

Lost several key players to injury and have lots of divisional games on the horizon.

 
Did anyone else notice that the Eagles' last offense play (4th down incompletion) looked like a good catch by D. Jackson? They call on the field was that the ball hit the ground, but on the replay it looked like the ball hit Jackson's hands and bounced around a bit, but never hit the ground.

The play was outside of 2 minutes, so the Eagles could have challenged, but they didn't. Or were they out of challenges? The announcers didn't even discuss it.

Yeah it was close. Pretty sure the incompletion would have held up after the replay.But I agree... close enough to challenge it and ask for a 2nd look.
