Game Thread W7 - Atlanta V Dallas (1 Viewer)

Newman just not doing his thing this year. Gave up a long third down conversion by literally getting smoked by Finneran, then gives up the TD to White with a pretty sorry effort. Many more drives like that one to open the game and Dallas's D will be worn out.

Atlanta 7

Dallas 0

Romo runs for it on 3rd and 18 gets about a yard or two away and takes a shot that shook him up, right to his throwing shoulder. Fumble recovered by Atlanta about to be reversed. 4-2 Dallas punting. Romo shook, possibly hurt.

Dallas defense playing very well after that opening drive. Dallas starts at their own 40, Romo still in at QB.

Falcons got a little going, but bad throw by Ryan results in an INT. Trying to force it to White will do that.

Pressure definitely caused that fumble. =)

edit: and just like that, as I'm typing, Austin a long TD. His train's still running!

Choice is the best RB in Dallas.

Barber isn't going to last long in the league period if he continues to try to bounce everything out. He'll end up having the same success as Tim Hightower running the ball.

He's been on the field. Just caught a pass, and was lined up in the Wildcat. Jones has been getting the carries, though.

Snelling is looking pretty good. He's moving the pile, which is something Turner has been unable to do this game.

I feel like they run Turner up the middle too much instead of bouncing him outside.

ETA: Though on those two runs, it was pretty effective. That'll teach me.

A lot of rb's could take a page from Turner's book. Short and goal, plow straight ahead and keep moving those legs until it's a clear touchdown.

True, but there was a lot of space.
I can't understand why that space only appears in the red zone. Every other touch he's had no holes to run through, then they get near the end zone and it's open spaces. I don't understand how an o-line can be so night and day.

Who would have guessed that the TO replacement was already on the team, not in Detroit last season?

I know it is still early, but Austin just looks to have "it". Most impressive after the catch.
