Game Thread W7 - Detroit V Houston (1 Viewer)

anyone see the play? what happened?
Which play? If you mean the CJ touchdown, he's just faster than the other guy. Blew by the CB, looked like he was in cruise control and got more room between he and the defender with every step.

yea the TD. So did Orlovsky actually threw a nice long ball or was it a catch n run?

garbage time rocks!!! calvin 98 bomb for td
Well Orlovsky had to shorted his 15 step normal drop because he would of been another highlight joke for running out of the endzone again. An in doing so he actually wasn't back pedddling and stepped into the throw.

He made a nice throw but Calvin beat his guy. Orlovsky actually stepped into the throw which he hasn't been doing a whole lot of

detroit stops em. gets ball back.

until Lions rough the kicker. :goodposting:

lol the refs call "running into kicker" not roughing.

too bad Andre davis (same guy who tipped ball at 1 yd line last kick) downs another kick at the one.

99 yards to megatron? :excited:

When the Motor City Kitties got down so early, I was thinking they might just go ahead & mail it in. Regardless of the outcome, I'm so glad to see the Lions make a game of this.

For those taking notes: Megatron has 3 targets, 3 touches, -2 Rush, 154 Rec, and a 96 yard TD

And if you weren't paying attention 1 target, 1 touch, 58 Rec was on a hail mary at the end of the first half.

I don't know if I should be a happy FF owner right now or just cry!

Regardless, GO CALVIN!

Lions D sets things up for one last shot, but Furrey lets the ball bounce past him, to be downed inside the 5 yet again.

Orlovsky can't find the 96-yard connection to Cal (or anyone else this time), and the game ends with the ball going backwards out of bounds.

Lions 0-6 and likely desperately hoping to avoid 0-16; Houston 2-4 and looking to go to 3-4 vs Cincy next week, and thus revive their hopes.

FOr those watching, can we anoint Andre Johnson the best WR in the league at this point? After two bad games he seems possessed.

Rudi Johnson had 6 for 8 yards

while

Kevin Smith had 10 for 61 yards and TD

Is Rudi's chance at being the starting RB done? I could see them go with the rookie from here on out.

It's the Lions... who knows. They started OL George Foster, again. The announcers said he has been benched five times the last two years. An he had two more false start penalties. Smith if I recall left the game after being tackled out of bounds.

Orvlosky needed a couple extra yards so he wouldn't run out of the back of the endzone (be thankful it was 96).

Kudos to Orlovsky for making a nice throw. I can't remember the last time a Lions QB hit a receiver in stride on a go route. If it was Kitna, the ball would have been over thrown or the receiver would have had to slow down to try and catch it.
