He was talking to his wife on the phone to get the HDTV review.WHAT????
What is this referee looking at?
Mmmmm. Was that 100% obvious?
I guess so. Looked like his hand was out to me.Anyone trying to stop 85 today?
There was nothing obvious about that. The replay views they showed made it tough to see when the hand hit vs. the elbow vs. the 2nd foot. When I saw that play live, I thought his hand touched out of bounds first, and the replays supported it. Surprised the announcers babbled for 5 minutes worth of replays without even commenting on that.
Definitely the right call to overturn it IMO.
Roll your eyes all you want, it was obvious to me, both live and on replay. And it was obvious to Bill Cowher's staff, who told him to challenge, and to the ref, who overturned it.There was nothing obvious about that. I dunno, I don't own CJ, nor am I a Bengals fan, and I never once saw it as obvious that his hand hit out. The only obvious thing I could see was that his elbow hit well in bounds.Roll your eyes all you want, it was obvious to me, both live and on replay. The Steelers were challenging that one all the way. Not because of the hand, but because of how close it was on so many counts - where he landed, how many feet he got in, etc.At least the Steelers started with a 3 and out!!Roll your eyes all you want, it was obvious to me, both live and on replay.
