Moore is starting, NFL.com is in error.

Rams unable to muster much on offense. Carolina seems ready for the dumpoffs.

Moore's first pass was a perfectly played read-and-cover by the Rams defense resulting in an easy interception. The Panthers tried a flea-flicker, but the Rams didn't bite at all.

Stewart's first run, he was met by about 7 Rams defenders pouring through the line of scrimmage....and the same for the second.

thanks for the update

Jackson isn't finding any room to run, and Bradford has 6 completions... for 21 yards.

This might be a long game for both teams.

Rams putting together a nice drive, just a few yards at a time. All the passes are going underneath, and most of the time there's a defender right on the receiver, but when they haven't the Rams have made some nice YAC gains.

Jackson got them to the red zone by bouncing off a defender on a fake end-around and scampering 14 yards down inside the 15. However, the Rams' red zone woes continue, though they did take a couple of shots at the end zone--to Fells--after a penalty moved them back to 2nd and 3rd-and-20. They settle for a field goal, which hell, may be enough in this game.

Steve Smith drops what would have been a 25-yard gain, Stewart stuffed in the backfield, short pass to Rosario that's swarmed by the Rams...and Panthers are out again. Not helping their defense after that long drive.

Do the Panthers have some sort of "tell" at the line of scrimmage when they are running? How can a rushing attack that has been so successful in previous years have defenders in the backfield on nearly every play?

Deep pass to Hoomanawanui, who landed awkwardly on his right shoulder and dropped the ball. Ruled incomplete, but would have been a nice long gain. While not fantasy relevant at the moment, they clearly have been trying to get him involved. That was his 4th target this half. Hoom goes to the locker room.

Rams starting to attack the middle instead of the sidelines. Nice catch by Gibson for the first down, atoning for his earlier drops. Then Robinson finds an opening, and Rams are suddenly in business again inside the 10.

Amendola's a real nice looking slot guy. Rams just need a weapon outside that can remain injury-free (Avery, Clayton, Alexander)

Simply amazing what Bradford's doing right now with all the shuffling.

Carolina suddenly explosive! Three quick strikes and they get inside the St. Louis 30. Though they can't get more than a FG, they have to be happy just showing signs of life at this point.

Carolina's figured something out: don't run it up the gut on every play. Stewart a couple of nice runs to the outside.

Part of Carolina's problem,as pointed out by the announcers, is that they keep running on 1st and 10. The Rams, realizing this, send pressure and get Stewart in the backfield. To my eyes, Stewart also looks a little less explosive than in years past. Not sure if it's physical or mental, but a couple of times I expected him to show a burst and instead he hesitated and got caught.

Gibson a nice deep route and catch. After dropping his first two targets, he's really stepped up with some nice hands--which the Rams desperately needed.

Touchdown Rams. Bradford neatly escapes pressure, finds Fells open in the seam, and he rumbles in from 23 yards out for the TD.

Last time I listen to FBG (Stewart) over CBS (Wells).
It wasn't just FBG. Most prognosticators seemed almost giddy when they heard DeAngelo was sitting. Everyone was talking about how Stewart did so well as the bell cow last season when DeAngelo was out. Of course, look how good DeAngelo did last year compared to how poorly he's been doing this year. Where I come from, we call that a clue. I mean, did people really think the problem was DeAngelo when he's got a better ypc than Stewart?I said it in the DeAngelo thread, this is not 2009's Carolina running game. And I don't think it's the backs since neither seems able to get things going with any consistency. That offense seems plain rotten and unfortunately two great backs are stuck in it.

S-Jax's YPC is just brutal in this game. I know he has the broken finger and he's a warrior just to be out there, but...Oof.

He's had a couple of nice runs called back by penalty, but mostly there haven't been many openings for him. To be honest, the finger doesn't look like it's bothering him at all.

Late note: Laurent Robinson looks like he injured his shoulder blocking, even though he didn't do it terribly hard. Go figure.

Was Gettis even noticeable? I started because of bye-week WR issues but he has done nothing for me... :excited:
He got a few targets, but Moore wasn't connecting with him. They focused on getting the ball to Steve Smith, who was targeted 15 times.
