Game Thread W8 - San Francisco V Chicago (2 Viewers)

The more A-Train does - the less likely we'll see TJ back tonight. Ugh - what a great matchup lost. This was supposed to be TJ's welcome back party after having tough rushing matchups against PHI, WAS, TB. His 1-yard run and done reminds me of Charles Rogers - but at least Jones gained yardage. :wall: Any more updates on his situation? Any camera shots of him on the sidelines? Where's Suzy with the latest?
Foot sprain. Doubt he will be back tonight. Just a guess but he may be out for a least another week. I think an ankle sprain is no issue compared to a foot sprain. No way you can even run or hardly walk it its a reall sprain.A-Train is a better back in this system anyway. Shame he's injury prone.
No. We can conclude that A-Train looks good against one of the worst defenses in the league. Jones is a much better receiver, which is important in this system.
Not so sure about that. I think A-Train's receiving was a big surprise in the preseason. I think that's the main reason they didn't trade him away. Either way if you can get A-Train I would (I did). Their a matched set and could both do well in this offense. Start whoever gets the start.

Incredible....You think I should drop Barlow this week...maybe pick-up ..I don't know...Christian Okoye! I could get just as many points! This guy SUCKS! He was my 2nd pick in the draft. I am in 3rd place SOMEHOW, with this guy! He's not even tradeable! I watched a high school game Thursday night that was 10 times better than this game. AND I think they had better RB's!

It looked like RW McQuarters (or a broke-assed Predator), but I could swear the voice was Nipsey Russell.

Look at the bright side.....ESPN has R.W. McQuarters miked up for this game!!!!!

woah.. [paul M]you wanna talk about a blast from the past?[/paul M]
It just seemed a bit 'toothier' than Flip Wilson, dontcha know.

Craig Krenzel is the next Joe Montana......................................................according to the Sunday Night Crew.

but hey, it gets much better tomorrow night when the power house Dolphins meet the mighty J-E-T-S Jets..

Were it not for fantasy football, no one outside Jersey would ever watch the Jets. Period.

did lloyd get hurt that play where he got nailed? didnt see him back in there after that playnice way to cap off my pathetic day if he did
Yeah, I was looking forward to his 2 points, too. ;)

Lets face it, SF is a totally different team with Dorsey. I think Barlow would be doing much better with Rattay slinging it around. Nobody respects Dorsey at all.

Nice block by A-Train on that sack.

Is Beasley playing?

It never ceases to amaze me all the RBs the 9'ers have that AREN'T named Kevan ####### Barlowe.

This game is worth watching for me becuase my opponent has Da Bears DF and I'm up by 11 going into the game - now I'm up by 7. I hope ATrain runs wild and the Bears hold onto the ball all night.Mike

Okay. Jones is a better blocker.

Excuse me, Ken Dorsey... may I introduce you to Eric Johnson... He is by far your best receiver, you might want to THROW HIM THE DAMN BALL!!!You'd think he'd know how to use a TE.

:rotflmao: a little like that "frenchy" character on "In living Color" by K. Wayans.. "I'm Rick, i'm slick and women loooove my... cologne."

I wish Terry Jackson and every other back in SF would (not get hurt...bad charma) but quit maybe. Then Barlow could finally be a real feature back instead of splitting with everyone again! Prob wouldn't matter though...he's terrible. Just a bitter Barlow owner!Maybe I can trade him this week for DeShaun Foster! Even swap i gues points wise!

Dorsey looks horrendous...all of his throws are wobbly and s...l...o...w. Anyone else notice that? I can't say I've seen a pro quarterback with such a weak arm.

 You can say the same for 1/2 the teams in the league.
Nope, the Jets and Giants were always the two teams I wouldn't watch unless it was a playoff game. I don't know if its always been the uniform, the field, the schemes, the players, or what, but unless someone named Namath was playing they are the most boring show on turf - always have been.

The scouting report for just about every Miami QB isn't it?

Lest you forget the Mia-NYJ MNF game a few years back? Best game I've ever seen.Giants are boring. Today was nice - they were away so the NFL allows a game to be televised opposite them.

So any chance Thomas Jones is back in the second half? This looks like a game, or I guess I should say it resembles an NFL game. They're wearing uniforms and all.

 Wow this is riveting football...

Ways to make this game more enjoyable:

1. So - anyone care to put an over/under on punting hang times?

2. Speaking of over/under, what's the O/u on us seeing another clip from the 2002 Natl. title game?

3. Have footage of Paul Edinger in HS learning how to kick - video shows his kicking coach with that same backwards facing kicking style. :rotflmao:

4. Get a close-up shot of Mike Patrick's teeth - has anyone ever noticed how "not white" those teeth of his are?! :rotflmao:

5. Oh forgetaboutit - this game sucks, there must be a "Law and Order" on somewhere.

The ticker on the bottom screen said he was "out" - downgraded from questionable. :wall:

Gino Toretta could really fire it though...:Heisman:

unless Barlow has the 2nd half of the century there goes another game I lost because of him :wall: - to bad he has zero trade value.

I think Gary Sheffield is en route to deliver that mysterious Barry Bonds Balm that Gary says he doesn't need anymore....and oh yeah "it's not performance enhancing, just eases those everyday aches and pains "
