Game Thread W9 - Detroit V Minnesota (1 Viewer)

Way to highlight your strengths on that drive Mooch......Harrington passing on first down, Bryson running on 3rd down........loving that!

At least they caught that one. Two offsides right in a row for Detroit. Officials hate MN.

Looks like Tice is just mixing it up with all the backs. Minny's O-line is getting substantial push off the ball.

wondering if you've seen roy e. williams on the field? don't really care if he starts, just if he's in the game.

Bennett typically gets a few carries a game. This time he did something with his opportunity is all.

Moore hurt...who's watching this one?
Moore owner here. He motioned to the sideline after he got a carry on a play where the Lions jumped offside and Bennett came in. It didn't look like he got hurt but with Fason coming in near the goal, maybe he did. The commentator's haven't said anything yet so stay tuned. Even if he's not hurt, I'm getting scared with Bennett running so well Tice may decide to stick with him.

Could it be backlash from this??:KFFL reports:"Nov 5 Minnesota Vikings players have encouraged their teammates to boycott a local television station, following a report Thursday, Nov. 3 related to the infamous boat party, according to the Associated Press. After receiving a tip that OT Bryant McKinnie and RB Mewelde Moore were dumping their trash at a construction site near their homes in Eden Prairie, Minn., KSTP reporter Kristin Stinar rummaged through the dumpster and found trash belonging to McKinnie. Party remnants were found, including a list of female names and a list of flight times written on Vikings' team stationery. Both players were confronted at their house by the television station, and McKinnie claimed the items were from a gathering at his house two weeks prior to the infamous cruise. Moore said he ran out of room in his own trash bin. The Vikings are upset about an invasion of privacy, but KSTP news director Chris Berg stands by the story. "It was fair, accurate, and balanced," he said."

Any reaction to BJohnson keeping the holder job as the no1 QB? I understand why they are doing this, as the K is used to him, but the commentators were making a big deal of it and the possibility he could get injured (hand kicked, fallen on, etc.) There doesn't seem to be much real serious danger though, but how hard would it be for the backup QB and K to practice and be ready for Sunday? Maybe next week?

If Cody Pickett can play of special teams and make tackles, Brad Johnson can catch a football and hold it on the ground.

This is more proof just how dumb Tice is

The way it's going they are both going to have 100+ yds today.

2-8-MIN 19 (1:19) M.Bennett up the middle pushed ob at DET 50 for 31 yards (T.Holt). :wall: the week that i need (and thought) Moore to come up big and Bennett is resurected

Yeah, that 31 yard run that Bennett just had REALLY made Tice looke dumber...

What does Moore have to do to keep his job?

Moore hits the holes better and Bennett is a home run hitter. Trust me, on likely Bennett fumble and it'll be all Moore again. Otherwise 60-40 in favor of Moore.

LOL with the Moore/Bennett owners - - I feel for ya. Any MRobinson (my only viable replacement for Owens this week with Keyshawn on bye) sightings?

For an update on Brad, he looks about as good as can be hoped for. The plays the Vikes are running are all short yardage and timing plays which Brad can do very well. All 3 step drops, the line is giving him the needed 2 seconds, and he's spreading the ball very well. All looks good here from a refreshed Vikes fan.
