Game Thread - Week 9 - Sunday Night Football (1 Viewer)

Not a bad effort by the Pats. They were in a position to win this game in the fourth quarter. Two major mistakes (Gaffney's drop and the Thomas penalty) cost them a shot at the W. If they play this way the next two weeks in Foxboro against the Bills and Jets there's a good chance they'll take control of the division.

Bizarre sequence. If you are going to go for it on 4th, why not call a better play on 3rd down to make 4th down more managable?
Bellicheck has looked like an indecisive 1st year scrub tonight. First wasting his last timeout because he changed his mind to kick the FG earlier, and then being indecisive here and deciding too late to go for it so they had to rush to get the play off.
Amazing, he doesn't look like such a genius with an average QB.
Seriously? I understand he made a couple mistakes tonight, but I think this year might be his best coaching performance yet. The Pats are in first place in their division despite losing Brady and their three of their four starting running backs, as well as one of the leaders of their defense. If he coached for any other team you'd be talking about him as a coach of the year candidate.

Take it easy there. They are tied with Buffalo and the Jets and only a game ahead of Miami. They're potentially one loss from being in last place in the division.

What a sorry-### game. Since when do the Colts run on 3rd and 4, let alone when they're on the opposition's side of the 50? They ran practically every 1st down right up the gut for 2 yds....gee that ought to fool them. If you don't have a running game, you don't have a running game. Addai....17 carries for 32 yds....a 1.9 yd per carry avg....and a longest gain all night of just 5 yds on the ground. 5 freakin' yds!!! Throw the freakin' ball! Geez-la-freakin-weez you've got a hall of fame QB! Christ, he completed 72% of his passes. Did the Colts even take one shot down field? The longest play all night from both teams was 26 yds, for crying out loud. Gag me with a freakin' spoon. The Colts should have lost the game with that pathetic ### game plan.

The Colts didn't give up a turnover, sack, or even commit one penalty all night...they get the win, and you're #####in' about it? Seriously? These aren't the Colts of previous years - get over it. They played well enough to win against a team with a winning record - given the way this year has gone, I'll take it.

Boy - a lot has changed in 3 weeks. Cassel looks like the 2nd coming (which no one thought was possible), and the Colts somehow won 3 more in a row after this game (which no one thought was possible). I wonder what will seem different 3 weeks from now in the NFL compared to the perception of today.
