Game Thread - Wildcard - Pittsburgh V Cincinnati (1 Viewer)

Nine previous home wild-card underdogs before today. Eight won the game. Cinci has a shot to make it nine out of ten.

And Pittsburgh has a shot to make it 2 out of 10. :P

A trend to watch is all three qbs making their 1st playoff start this weekend has lost (assuming Carolina holds on). Watch out Palmer.

If **** LeBeau still hasn't figured out how to stop the no-huddle offense, and we can hopefully stop the Steelers' running game and make Roethlisberger beat us, we should be all right.GET EM BENGALS !!

Roethlisberger can beat you.He dropped 386 and 3 TDs on you last time.

He only needs to limit or eliminate the turnovers.

Marvel Smith missed the last matchup, and he's healthy for this one.. should make a difference.

Last year the playoff game threads went up as soon as the last round was finished. Are the game threads going up immediately after this game? (for discussion purposes)

I live in Cincinnati. I talk to tons of Bengals fans every day. Not one, not a single one, has told me they're confident about this game. Every single Bengals fan I've talked to, and many are season ticket holders, are very leary about facing the Steelers this week. It's odd. A month ago everybody was so confident that the tide had turned, and the Bengals were the new kings of the division. A couple bad losses later, and everybody is back to being a bit scared of the Steelers.

Just throwin' it out there...

Chad Johnson mingling with tailgaiters and shaking their hands:thumbup: Seriously how can you not like this guy?

Let's see if we can't have a good game and possibly a 200+ yard passer? Brady had 201 and 3TDs, the second best is Chris Simms....

they're underdogs...what do you expect?

Palmer writhing on the ground after the bomb downfield. Collapses his left knee. Could be acl or mcl.

Predictions sure to go wrong....Feel free to track....CJ - 100 yards and a TD.Rudi - 20+ carriesPalmer 250+ / 2TDsFWP under 100Bettis 1 TD

I haven't seen enough to determine if that was a cheap shot, but Palmer is finished.I tend to think the Steelers DE could have avoided contact....

Glad we have a doctor in this forum. Can he get a cortizone shot and come back out?

I was typing this while I cringed, but was going to finish the thought to be honest....(aside - how do you do a strikethru?)

Looked clean to me. Falling down with a lineman on him? It's football.

I haven't seen a replay yet. Regardless, it's not the DE's job to avoid contact. It's his job to make contact- and hard.

He was blocked down and didn't look like he could've avoided that hit on Palmer's knee.God, I hope it's not serious, but it looked bad.

Looked like he could have stopped himself, the fat cow. F'n weak. Then again, might be hard to stop 400 pounds of blubber going in one direction. Doubt it would be intentional, but while I wasn't really rooting for either team, this makes me want to root against PITT with every fiber of my being.
