Game Thread - Wildcard - Pittsburgh V Cincinnati (1 Viewer)

Anyone know what happened to Palmer? I haven't been able to find anything about his injury.

You can definitely see the difference between the arm of Palmer and the arm of Kitna. Kitna's passes to not have the same zip or velocity. And he can't throw the deep ball with the same accuracy. The entire complexion of this game changed when Palmer went out.

But the way the Steelers are playing, I'm not sure the Bengals could win even with Palmer. But at least he could have kept them in a shootout.
:knackfortheobvious: down?

I didn't ask you if you had played sports, but thanks for changing my question to better suit your argument. I asked you if you had played football. I guess not.

I've played football and would rather play with Sanders than Lewis. Why do you get into arguements and always bring it to "Did you play?" You did it with the Kobe arguement and now this one. What's the deal?

Just realize that in YOUR opinion, Barry was a bad leader and your boy Lewis is god but not everyone thinks that way. Saying someone isn't human because they disagree with your opinion is as stupid as a statement as a person can make.

I have never heard a teamate say anything except positive things about Ray Lewis as a leader.
Of course, they don't want to get shot.
:lmao:
Yes, throwing humor out of a situation where a few men DIED and left behind family and friends is just hilarious.
Hey, I didn't shoot anybody.
Ok, but you're making jokes about it. If your parents/children die soon, how would you like me to come on this board and make jokes about it?
:lmao: Playing the PC card just because this thug is one of your heros and you don't like jokes being made at his expense.
Whatever, I'm done with this conversation- I don't feel like making light of a tragedy anymore.
:lmao:

It's the arm that jumps out as you so much as the decisiveness. Kitna does not know what he wants to do with the ball. Palmer makes quicker decisions and give the Bengals the ability to audible and check off at the line. Without Palmer, the Bengals offense looses much more than simply a better arm.Huge loss. I am surprised the game has been this close.

I think this thread is a lost cause. Its overrun by people with no current interest in discussing anything.

Torn ACL. They said the Bengals were hoping he'd be back for the regular season next year.

This should be a poll.

And the wheels have officially fallen off the Bengal bandwagon...Steelers turning it on now...

Darn. I wanted the Pats/Colts matchup. Now the Pats have to win an extra game to make it happen. Denver will not be an easy out. Steelers look good. I hope they dont screw things up and beat the Colts before the Pats get their shot. Although beating the Steelers in the AFC Championship is always fun.

So we are looking at 4 games in the books, only one home team winning. Wow.

And the one road team that lost was a 12-4 club playing at a 10-6 club's place.
Watch that pattern reverse itself next week ( as it usually does)

Bengals need 7 this trip. Need to give the D a blow, and put themselves in a position to have a chance late in the game. And, put Pitt in a position where they still have to throw and cannot simply run down the clock.

Kitna looks like Vince Young on prosthetics.
:lmao: :lmao:
Finding humor in people with false limbs...shame on you. When your kids/parents end up with a pegleg or a hook how soon will you come here and make jokes?
 My mother has had two prosthetic legs and is now wheelchair bound. People with prosthetic limbs retain their sense of humor - too bad those around them don't.

When Palmer left the Bengals lost their home run threat. That is the biggest difference.

Hopefully TJ and CJ didn't talk too much trash during the game and the Steelers will tune down this beating just a notch.

BGP. Throw out a topic. What would you like to discuss during this blowout?

I think the D has blown the entire 2nd half.

Please, please, PLEASE bring in Krenzel.Congrats to the Steelers on a hard-faught season and play-off victory. This was a tough one to stomach. :(

Yep. And you get a home run threat by noticing man coverage at the line and checking off to the fly route. That's more often than not, how/when Palmer/Bengals decide to take a shot with CJ.

I'm just glad the game got over with Cincy being shut out here in the 2nd half.Ok, what kind of a chance does Pitt have against the Colts?

Come on Steelers, one more trick play for a TD...Statue of Liberty maybe? The old "Roethlesberger puts the ball under his shirt and walks into the end zone" play? Oh...no...no...I got it, one of those music city miracle lateral fests. Yes, that's how I want to see them score here.:stillers:

No Pitt fan here but arent they at least as good as SD? Are you saying the Colts are unbeatable? Didnt they lose at home to a non playoff team?0

What's Rudi have 1,2, maybe 3 carries this half? Similar to the first time, they met this year, Bengals getting away from a good balanced offense.

Nope. Just saying they showed nothing in the prior meeting and match up poorly with the Colts.

How about his inability to look off the defense??

The defense will have to play a whole lot better than they did today to have a chance against the Colts.

The loss of Carson Palmer = the loss to the Steelers
Yeah, had nothing to do with Ben's 13-18-195-3-0 performance or the 100 yards rushing at over 4 per carry they already have with 9 minutes to go in the game. The Bengals defense hasn't done anything to slow down the Steelers offense in any of the 3 games.
