Garcia (1 Viewer)

yes, garcia is the starter this week. link

At least the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have a healthy quarterback this week.

The rest of the offense around quarterback Jeff Garcia -- who will remain the starter Sunday night against the Seattle Seahawks -- is going to pieces.

"If Jeff Garcia continues to do what he's doing and stays healthy, obviously he's a force at that position for us," Bucs head coach Jon Gruden said.

I'm still baffled by where FBG has Garcia ranked for QB's this week. Is the Seattle D. that bad?

Yes he is it was announced on Tuesday, I picked him up since Warner has a bye, my opponent has the bucs defense though who I dropped a few weeks back.

yes, the seattle defense is pathetic.
Really? What happened? Peterson, and Trufant made that team pretty competitive in years past. Have they lost somebody? What is their weakness? Run, or pass?
24th in pass yards allowed per game (244), 23 in rush yards allowed per game (126), 29th in Points allowed per game (30.2)

He's filling in for Warner this week for me. I only accept QBs over 35 years old.

Problem i see with starting Garcia this week (and he's all I got..) is that Tampa doesn't tend to throw unless they have to. If this thing is 17-3 at halftime Graham and Dunn will have 10 carries each in the 2nd half and let their D win the game.

Im expecting a 18 for 26 game for 170 and hoping for a TD.

I do like guys playing in primetime though.. that game is on Sunday Night. NBC must be so thrilled for the Seneca Wallace/Charlie Frye led Hawks to be coming to town.

That's what I'm thinking too. Great matchup but I could see Graham and Dunn going off and Garcia having his usual 200 yards/1 TD game. I'm also surprised by where FBG has him ranked this week.

Yeah I was wondering what happened in the rankings...? He dropped ten spots in less than day. Something I missed?

Although this has been Tampa's modus operandi in years past, this seems to fly in the face of how Gruden has been talking and coaching this year, no?

Could have bumped Senior VBD's last post for this reply.. TB threw the ball a lot more than I thought they would.. or even needed to.

After that Sunday night performance, I will look hard at using him if the matchup is right. Playing at Dallas looks very enticing. Dallas secondary is in shambles right now.
