I love the NFL. I can't wait for opening day! Well, it is finally here!!!

I am planning on having some friends over to get the season off right.

What weekend, if any, do you all see as a better weekend than this?

What are your plans for tonight/ this weekend? Do you do it up more or less with the excitement?

While I do enjoy opening weekend of the NFL season, I find the excitement of the first four days of March Madness to be even better.

There's more gambling going on with March Madness, it's almost like a 4-day weekend since the games start on Thursday, and it's on nearly all day.

I agree and disagree. While I think there's just as much,or more, gambling on the NFL opening weekend and I'm a diehard football fan,the first weekend of March Madness is hard to beat,multiple games at the same time all day long,win or go home,the enthusiasm of the college game,it's tough to match even by my beloved NFL

I agree the first weekend of March Madness is great. I'd throw in the previous weekend also, with the ACC tournament, other conference tournaments, and the release of the brackets.The best weekend in football is probably the second weekend of the playoffs, where you have the eight best teams playing for spots in the conference championship games.

NFL Opening Weekend has a Christmas morning-like feel to it for me. There is nothing else in sports that beats it!

I could buy this argument. It is a close second to me, but I still have the NFL on top. What a rush!
