Observation / Confession from me.
It's so easy (at least for me) to get into a "assuming" things about other folks. I don't have a "notebook" but obviously, I see what's posted here and make assumptions.
In another thread, a poster wrote something that I would never have thought they might say.
The reality is I didn't have any real reason for thinking it was something they'd never say. It was because from the tiny bit of posting I'd seen from them, I assumed things that simply weren't true. And it's 100% my fault.
It's another good reason I think it's better to ask questions and listen more.
It's the old Stephen Covey thing about "Seek first to understand. Then to be understood". Good words there.
Bottom line: I think we do better when we assume less.
And bonus, if we do assume, err towards assuming the best of each other.
