Genrepalooza Presents: FG Radio - Tons of Lithium but very little Chill (10 Viewers)

In addition to only dropping in on weekday mornings, mph has had quasi-extended absences and returned each time, so I wouldn't be surprised if he comes back at some point. I'm sure
Good to hear this.  I was looking for him to return last Monday and then when we didn't see him then or this week, I was worried.

Bumping this to the new page. Now including How Bizarre and the Aretha and Otis Show.

In addition to only dropping in on weekday mornings, mph has had quasi-extended absences and returned each time, so I wouldn't be surprised if he comes back at some point. I'm sure YM's absence is mostly due to the NBA thing, though he has said he will sit out rounds where he's not feeling the categories. No idea about whether or when we might see Buffaloes again. And of course we know the deal with Doc Oc.
Yeah I am really feeling for Doc Oc. After how trying this year has been for everyone to have this kind of loss has to be such a heavy blow. I've been thinking about him everyday hoping he's finding a way to peace.

It makes sense phonetically lol
I'm assuming your vape pen has thc in it and not nicotine.  Pot is legal in Michigan now, right? Who knows when it will be legal here in the bible belt. I don't smoke it, but I'd like to grow it. Virginia is coming close to legalizing it.

Alright @Ilov80s - time to grab those Starburst jelly beans, tortilla chips, and fire up The Lost Boys!!
My mother-in-law always gets me a 4 lbs jar of Jelly Bellys for Easter (and sometimes for my birthday and Father's Day). She dropped it off over the weekend so I'm ready to go.  So what's the recipe?

The black ones are my favorite.

Yes it has THC and yes it is legal.

This computer is on its last legs. Every day my cursor gets stuck, and I have to illegally shut off my computer to get unstuck. Spotify especially freezes it. I have a laptop, but I like this old desktop.

280.8 or 12 - Carl Stalling -  Mouse Taken Identity (How Bizarre)

Stalling composed the scores for hundreds of Warner Brothers cartoons. This is one of them from a 1957 Sylvester the Cat short.  Hopefully it fits Weird and Wonderful better than it would in the Turn Down the Lights.

I use a laptop at home but kind of hate it. I much prefer desktops in general. I am spoiled at work now with my dual monitors as well.

At the colony there is an old airstream that is used as a wall to hide some of the back lot of a business. In the middle of the camper there is a big hole in the ceiling where some metal had been bent off or something. The cats like to lounge in the camper, and so I decided about three months ago to throw a tarp over the hole so rain would quick coming in at that section. I stood on a painters ladder and rigged it up. Three nights ago it was very windy, and I noticed a corner of the tarp had ripped where a bungee was in the eyelet. I was trying to fix it, and a storm came. I was still fixing it in the rain until it started lightening, and I got the hell out of there since leaning up against a metal camper wasn't the safest place to be. Yesterday, I threw two smaller tarps over the big tarp, and bungeed them down, and I hope this holds for awhile. I know the sun will weather it a lot this summer.  Here is one side of the camper   Here is the other side. It is kinda blocked right now by some trailer.

I wonder if @rockaction comes back with an Aretha 4 pack for round 280
Heh. If you think I got scared when Otis asked for R-E-S-P-E-C-T, can you imagine how I feel about Aretha's request? Damn, that's a scary task.

Weren't the Stones rolled with Eel Pie another time?

2 cinnamon Jelly Bellys + 1 Tostitos bite-size chip + 1 mouth

I must not be high enough :bag:
Yeah, I don't think that cinnamon would do it.   The Starburst are fruity with a dollop of sour.   It was that fruity/sweet + salty combo that dancing on the taste buds the other night.

Round 279

How Bizarre

I could probably draft from this category for a week straight. My wife thinks 80% of what I listen to is weird( ie horrible) while I think it's wonderful.

This track was something I had in mind for the Free Your Mind channel but since  it could be months until that's rolled I'll out it here.

If Monster Magnet and the Smashing Pumpkins had an illegitimate love Child it would be this band.

Turn Me On Dead Man- Pharmaceutical Rainbows
I can definitely hear the Pumpkins. I only know a few MM songs so I can't speak to that as much.

By the way, I wouldn't add the extra Otis and Aretha songs to the mix because it'll just clog the mix and not make it in any way a palatable list for people. This was more an homage than a "Can I please have these?" on the lists.

NV, I missed your question before. I think that Watch The Throne was never quite what everybody expected in the first place. I remember being disappointed as a listener but I may have just been Roc-A-Fella'd out at the time. I think "Otis" stands up as a track, as do a few others, but I'm not sure it was ever that well-received. It was sort of like cheering for the New England Patriots to beat a young, fuzzy bunny into submission. Okay, I really started to type "New York Jets" but they deserve to get beaten in ways a cute, fuzzy bunny doesn't.

I bought a new fondue pot a few minutes ago online. It was on sale. I have two already. One uses the fondue fuel to get hot, and the other is electric, and I've been wanting to get another electric, and this new one is. I'll pick it up at the store tomorrow. Hopefully it will be used in the near future.

THANK YOU.  I bit my tongue.

I too am a fan of the fondue, and once I went electric I never went back.  The sterno is so hard to keep at the right temp.  Good luck!  Are you making cheese, chocolate, or oil-based stuff?

Well, the guy who has the ability to remove them from the playlist is all vaped out tonight, so that may have to wait until tomorrow.
