For this reason I figured I'd put on the Willie's Roadhouse playlist.I've had whiskey, so...
Yan Can CookHopefully MaCanFarm doesn’t get banned for liking my post where I circumvent the language filter.
Never heard this before
I would like this but I'd probably be banned.Every time the Holly playlist is posted about, NV gets a new account.
Hasn't let one get started eitherI would like this but I'd probably be banned.

Heaven?can someone help me ID where I have heard this bassline before? Starts at the 20 second mark. if you get it, i will let you have my bonus Holly track.
I def heard elements of National Anthem too, but not really the bassline.Heaven?
Gives me a "National Anthem" vibe, but much more chill.

glanced at the recently played on this on the real-life station and it looks like if it came out in the 90s, wasn't country, and got radio play on any just about station at any point in the 90s, it's game.90s on 9 (pop hits)

The '90s were weird like that -- lots of stuff got into the popular consciousness that wouldn't have in other decades.glanced at the recently played on this on the real-life station and it looks like if it came out in the 90s, wasn't country, and got radio play on any just about station at any point in the 90s, it's game.
Yep. Lots of stuff slipped right in like id. I think I'm picking a song got me in a gentle disagreement with the hockey fans of the hockey thread who said "everybody has heard of that band" when I complimented the ice disc jockey for picking that particular song. The '90s were weird like that -- lots of stuff got into the popular consciousness that wouldn't have in other decades.

Interesting. The lead singer sounds a little bit like Fiona Apple a bit in her appearance on NPR's Tiny Desk Concert. I've never heard this band perform before. Her, um, phrasing is very similar to Fiona's. (Minus Fiona's last album, which I can't listen to and sounds like a descent into some sort of madness.)
Wow.I would never have expected
andThe Mighty Mighty Bosstones
to be played back-to-back anywhere ever, but they were on the actual 90s on 9 station 8 hours ago.Amy Grant
That was my argument. Go up to a random person in a grocery store and ask them if they've heard of [redacted]. Generally, there's no chance they will have heard of that band outside from judging the beef in the butchery section of said store. The decade saw the end of Pop musical monoculture

She does have a tremendous voice. It got me to listen to their full Tiny Desk in the background. Quite good.I took them in "Velvet" - Better Than
Rachael Price has a tremendous voice. That X-mas song was a supposed to be a bit campy I think.
Is it OK if I wait til the vaccine before I conduct this experiment? That was my argument. Go up to a random person in a grocery store and ask them if they've heard of [redacted]. Sure. Just make sure you're not talking about December's food, though. Is it OK if I wait til the vaccine before I conduct this experiment?
I can't for the life of me do it. Sounds like nothing I immediately recognize as hearing before. That's gonna drive you nuts. Have fun with it. At least it's a cool line.can someone help me ID where I have heard this bassline before? Starts at the 20 second mark. if you get it, i will let you have my bonus Holly track.
it's on the tip of my tongue so to speak, but i can't figure it out.I can't for the life of me do it. Sounds like nothing I immediately recognize as hearing before. That's gonna drive you nuts. Have fun with it. At least it's a cool line.
Joe Pesci was doing Tony Clifton long after Andy Kaufman did Tony Clifton, one guesses.:X
Not going on my mix...
