Not much news out there on Hayes... this is from the blogger:

HAYES HURTING Starting middle linebacker Gerald Hayes missed practice after hurting his ribs at the end of Sunday’s game, and while coach Dennis Green said he still hoped Hayes would be available against the 49ers, Hayes is listed as questionable.

Cardinals MLB Gerald Hayes (questionable, ribs) missed portions of practice all week, according to the NFL's official injury report.Hayes, who had his contract extended in early November, appears likely to sit out Sunday's game. He may be replaced by Darryl Blackstock.

Should Hayes owners just count on not having him this week? Even if he does play, one shot to the ribs in the first quarter and you could be looking at a zero.

East Valley Tribune reporting that Hayes won't play this week.

Middle linebacker Gerald Hayes, who is suffering from a rib injury, skipped a third day of practice and won’t play Sunday. Monty Beisel will start in Hayes’ place.
