Hodges was finally starting to have some value, breaking into the starting lineup for the Vikes, then they go and trade him away to the Niners.

Currently buried on the depth chart, but there has been talk that he might be bumped up to take Wilhoite's spot next to Bowman.

Any outlook from Niners' homers?

IMO, he's simply depth. There is nobody behind Bowman and Wilhoite.

He's a better player than Wilhoite. Whether he gets that chance is still unknown, as in-season trades/learning the system aren't not common.
