Well, as a Bills fan, that sucks. 7 years, $98M with $52M guaranteed. Who knows how much of that is trule guaranteed and how much is money that he'll clearly never see, but my first impression is that it's an overpayment for a DT, even a stud one.

I try not to lose sleep worrying about markets. A tick below Watt's deal is where it was bound to come in, and that's what we're looking at. When you're locking up elites, you pay the price. Swooning over the price became meaningless to me some time around Dave Winfield. It's all been Monopoly money ever since.

The Bucs have the cap room, it's a tick above other deals handed out to great DTs, it cuts his cap number this year and next (assuming a franchise tag) and it's only a 4 year contract (guarantees). They'll also likely heavily front load it if they're smart.
