Situation: 16 Team money league... $250 buyin... Cash Waivers
There's a prize pool of around $4,000 on the line here
4 divisions... division leaders plus 4 Wildcards make the playoffs... all playoff spots pay
My team is currently in first in our division... we're in a dogfight with one other team. Basically if we win, we're in... if we lose but they llose, we're in.... if we lose and they win, then we're out.
Appparently one team in our league employs the "Strategy" of emptying his lineup each week.. then setting it at the last second. He seems to think this is a big deal. I confronted our commish and 2 other managers about it at the bar Wed saying they haven't set a lineup yet. They said no problem.. this is the case every week.
Well with the thursday game, the guy forgot to set his lineup. This gives the other contender a free win..meaning we MUST WIN to make the playoffs.
There are actually people in the league saying "those are the rules.. they didn't set a lineup.... too late"
What's everyone's take on this?
