Didn't see a thread about this. Marty Hurney just said they got some bad news about him today, but I haven't seen anything other than he is going for a MRI.

Disappointing cause I thought he would be solid. Leaves Naane, Pilares, Edwards, and Lafell battling it out for the spots.

Probably a torn acl.. Great. he was one of my sleepers this year... WTF.... I am gonna pull my hair out by the end of this season with all the injuries and we aren't even out of preseason ... wtf

Charly Martin will probably slide into that sixth spot for now, but my guess is that they will be signing someone soon. Then again, I've been expecting a CB and DT signing for weeks, and haven't got it (unless you count Ron Edwards at DT...but he's already out for the season as well).

Why sign anyone? who would they sign?I think they have a decent group even without Gettis. From the sounds of it Armanti is light years different than he was last year. Naane has flashed potential in San Diego but never put it together, but he seems motivated now. Pilares has flashed already. No reason to slow development of these guys IMO. I've actually liked Martin since he was in San Diego's camp a year or two ago. He has some fight in him and looks like one of those lunch pail types...
