since 90 percent of us, if not more, actually only watch the super bowl on tv, what do we care if they play in the cold? its the megabucks corporate sponsors who will fight this. they want to party somewhere warm - or at least not buried under 15 inches of snow - during the super bowl week.
Even if I'm on my couch watching I love to see games in cold weather or at least outside. That's why I'm bummed about this year's playoffs were we might not have a single game in the NFC played outdoors and in the AFC we probably get one game from the Pats and Bengals at home with all other games in domes or warm weather. That blows. As for considering people who want to party. NY, even in a blizzard, is a far more entertainment attractive option than Detroit and Jacksonville which have fairly recently hosted SB's.
I think you're forgetting about the wildcard round. The Eagles are likely to host at least one playoff game, and the Bengals and Pats are likely to be the home teams in the first round of the AFC. So that's 3 home games, in addition to possible AFC or NFC Championship games in Philly, NY, GB and Denver. Longshots, but you never know. I agree, though, that this year should feature mostly warm weather games, and that is a little less exciting.
