Giants' Running Game (1 Viewer)

We heard alot about Danny Ware this off season but it looks like Bradshaw has secured his role in the offense and now Ware is injured with a dislocated elbow.

As it turned out the carry distribution looked like this:

A. Bradshaw 12/60 5.0 YPC

B. Jacobs 16/46 2.9 YPC

Receptions:

Bradshaw 3/11

Jacobs: 2/17

Total touch %:

Bradshaw: 45%

Jacobs: 55%

Will this continue? Is Bradshaw startable now in PPR Leagues?

I think the Giants wanted to run outside and throw quick passes against Washington. I think if they face a team who they want to attack between the tackles, Jacobs will get more work. But, Bradshaw is a pretty good player, so they'll get him his touches.

Jacobs was always startable in ppr leagues. It looks as though he gets a slight bump now based on what we saw Sunday. It was reported that he, like Adrian Peterson, has been working on his receiving skills intently this past off-season. I'm of the opinion that this seasons production will mirror that of the '08 season with Bradshaw producing similiar to Ward numbers. But with the injury to Ware bump both of them a bit until he returns.

Bradshaw looked very good for the most part. He's not going to outrush Jacobs that often but it is encouraging to see him get so many touches.

Jacobs will still be the workhorse and get the goal lines. I don't think you'll see the carries that evenly distributed as frequently.

This is the future of the fantasy RB position. I foresee a lot of teams starting the Washington's and Bradshaw's or other 'lightning' players in the future.

Anyone know how long a dislocated elbow will keep you out for?
if you're talking about this one, could be a while.
Guessing 2-3 weeks, but it depends on the severity.
I read online that it can take anywhere from 6 - 12 weeks to be fully recovered. Not sure how accurate that is...hopefully, we will hear more from the Giants on this soon.

The mild criticism of Haynesworth for yesterday's game is misplaced. While he didn't have as great an impact upon pass pressure as many expected (though this was due to a good o-line and a good Giants game plan emphasizing shorter passes), Haynesworth & Co. stuffed every run between the tackles and the Giants really didn't even bother trying in the second half. Every successful run by Giants RB's was to the outside. And remember that the Redskins were already a good run-stopping team even before they signed AH.

That won't happen in every game. The Giants rushing game will be fine. And yes, if anything Bradshaw is an improvement over Ward.
