i'm sure he'll be back next week, getting more carries than a rb about 5 times better tha him for no reason whatsoever.

but hey, they are 11-0, and he's on sean payton's son's fantasy team, so no reason to switch things up now!

guilty. and rightfully so. somebody link the article where he said he told his son to draft bell. am i crazy to honestly believe that that is the actual reason that bell gets carries?
 
I'm a HPTO (Happy Pierre Thomas Owner) owner because Bell's prescence keeps PT fresh and gives the Saints more confidence in the run game!

I'm actually looking to trade for him for the playoffs so I hope he's not dinged up too bad.

Does he limit PT's upside a bit, yes.

Will he keep him fresh and playing all the way through week 16, hopeully.

Would I play him and PT in week 16 vs TB, yup!

 
Well, when your head coach leaves him in instead of playing his scrubs, that's what happens. Way to go Payton.

 
You know how Peterson's nickname is ADP? I have a nickname Ive been using as an extremely frustrated Pierre owner: ABP (Anybody But Pierre)

 
It is kind of amazing that Thomas gets so few carries, especially since he's 2nd in the NFL in YPC behind only Chris Johnson. But, Bell is also playing pretty well, averaging close to 4.5 a carry. Should Thomas be getting more carries? Probably. Is it tough to argue with 11-0? Definitely.

If you're Payton, do you give him more carries which may make him less effective and lead to more injuries (which he's had a problem with) or do you keep him fresher thus making him more effective and help keep him off the injury list? With our fantasy hats on yes we'd all love to have PT get more carries and make him a stud but these guys play in the NFL where winning games is the most important goal and Payton is doing it perfectly so far.

I get it, believe me. IMO, Sean Payton has the best designed offense I've ever seen. Totally unpredictable, multiple formations, personnel packages, etc. PT and Colston owners are probably in the same boat - best by far at their positions but the wealth is spread around. Maybe there is a method to the madness. He does seem to be protecting Thomas and probably knows he needs him more than any other back in the playoffs. Bell is breaking down and it's only a matter of time - he gets jacked up on every other carry.
