Lions homer here so I was happy to see the Viking abandon AP in the second half...but as a football fan I am just in shock. He had 12 carries for 73 yards and a TD in the first half and only 5 carries all second half. Plus...on 4th and 1 why not give it to your stud? If they feed Peterson the ball 15 times in the second half I think they hold on and win. I saw Childress do this all the time and thought with Frazier that he would be a little smarter...I guess I am wrong.

Agree here...watching some of that game on redzone...and as a Packer fan was pulling for the Vikings :X ...its inexplicable how they did it when Childress was coach...but now doing it again.

Vikings fan and I agree with the Packer and Lions fans on this one!WTH? It makes no sense.This game is not that hard. People try to make it hard, but it really isn't. Just like you don't want a HB with fancy feet, a HC shouldn't get too fancy. The only explanation that would be acceptable is that ADP is hurt. If I were the Vikings GM I would fire Frazier and bench McNabb. Let's see if Ponder has anything.

I totally agree.

This issue, together with the Vikings' complete inability to adjust and do anything, I mean ANYTHING in the second half of all 3 games this year is a total and absolute reflection of poor coaching. Plain and simple as far as I am concerned. The Vikes could very easily be 3-0 right now. Simply unbelievable.

Week 1 while nursing a 17-14 lead against SD, with 2:34 to play in the 3rd Q, AP gets two carries of 7 and 5 yards.

Clock down to 2:04 - 1st & 10

1st down = Wildcat formation for -2 yards

2nd down = Draw to Percy Harvin for 0 yards

3rd down = Incomplete pass

Why would you do ANYTHING ELSE but give Peterson the ball!?!?!?

That play was hilarious. They start to send the FG unit on, and Peterson waves them off. HC then agrees and decides to go for it, but NOT give it to Peterson. I even said to my brother before the play "Well it's good to show confidence in your players once in awhile, but Peterson darn well better make it." Then after the play I said "Well Peterson is off the hook anyway..."
