Give Me a Movie/TV Show/Song/Band and I Will Review (1 Viewer)

Bad Santa

Boardwalk Empire

Westside Connection - Bow Down
Funny as hell but mostly because of the shock value. then again...maybe it's just funny as hell. And Lauren Graham is the teats.

Boardwalk was great. Not a huge fan of the last season but the ones before it make up for it.

Do not know enough about westside connection to comment.

The King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters

The Kid With The Golden Arm
1. Hilarious but ultimately really depressing for some reason. I'm 90% sure that everyone in that move had aspbergers. It was almost exploitive.2. ANOTHER TIME SAVER: no martial arts movies. If youre over 15 and love them...well, godspeed. Same goes for those crapping tiger, flying moron movies.

You, me, and Dupree

Bottle Rocket

Jaws

Van Wilder

Leon the Professional

Billy Madison

Home Alone
1. Pretty dumb with a couple of good lines.

2. Pretty sure I covered wes Anderson all ready.

3. Jaws is one of my all time favs. I consider that to be the movie that taught me what a good movie was.

4. Haven't seen all of van wilder

5. Same with Leon. I think I liked the first half but had to stop it for some reason. I guess it didn't grab me enough to make me want to finish it.

6. billy Madison is a guilty pleasure. Totally moronic but cracks me up. I actually quoted it twice this week. I feel dirty now.

7. Home Alone blows goats. I guess I might like it if it had come out when I was 9 or something.

I loved all of your answers until Home Alone. But this goes back to your thing about things. We've watched this at thanksgiving every year for like 100 years. So it's meaningful.

This Is Spinal Tap

The Office (Brit version)

Drop Dead Gorgeous
Comedy masterpiece. Goes to 11 on the comedy scale.Haven't seen the other two.
DDG is a mockunentary about a beauty pageant in Minnesota. Haves vs Havenots feel to

It.

Kirstie Alley, Denise Richards, Allison Janney, Kirstin Dunst, Ellen Barkin. The guy that was HI's BIL in Raising Arizona is in it too.

Think it does the genre justice.

Total Recall

New Girl

License to Ill
I actually liked total recall. Probably the same reasons I liked Road Warrior.

Never seen new girl but Zooey DeschNneel looks sorta like Katy Perry so...

License to Ill was a big chunk of the soundtrack that made up my big time partyer days. Fun as hell but the BB later albums were superior.
I think I wore out my cassette of License to Ill rocking it in my Kenwood stereo (with Jenson 6x9s) in my Nissan Sentra. Good memories right there.

1. Somehow I've never seen this all the way through.

2. Never got into her. Can't say either way.

3. Station Agent was a pretty good "little" movie (no pun intended). Nothing earth-shattering but well done.

4. Barney Miller is criminally underrated. One of the best TV comedies in its time.

5. MASH: Ahead of its time. Probably the best thing about it wasn't the comedy but its commentary on war and other serious topics. Deserves to be in the top 5 TV comedies.

6. WKRP: Tough one...some classic lines (obviously the turkey one will live on for many more years) but ultimately not in the upper tier. Way too many forgettable episodes in between the good ones. I do remember, however, how great the episode they did in the wake of the Who concert tragedy was. They handled it perfectly.

Modest Mouse

The Tick (cartoon)

Top Secret!
MM: There are 2 or 3 of their songs that I really like but mostly hit or miss with me. I also think that I probably haven't listened to enough of their songs.

The Tick: Very meh. Cartoons based on comix aren't really my thing.

Top Secret! Good but only about half as funny as Airplane. Not sure what it is but it seemed to lack something that the other Abrahams/Zucker movies.

Seven

Springsteen

The musical stylings of BigBottom and Bob Sacamano
Seven: Outstanding movie almost all the way around (only gripe is that I can't stand G. Paltrow).

Bruuuuuuce: Tough one. Some of his stuff is absolutely brilliant (mostly before BITUSA). But a lot of his stuff doesn't grab me.

BB and BS: Stellar.

Pan's Labrynth

Tom Waits

Larry Sanders Show

Summertime by Will Smith
1. No idea what the big deal about this was. I turned it off after 40 minutes and never looked back. And del Toro is one of the most overrated directors out there today.

2. No thanks. I know he has a rather large and dedicated fan base but I find him boring and/or depressing. Not a bad actor though.

3. Hilarious and original. Great show.

4. Probably Smith's best song...but that's not saying a whole lot.

Alien

Aliens

Alf
1. Sci-Fi/thriller classic. It was just on the other day. Pretty crazy to think that it was made in 1978. Years ahead of its time.

2. Pretty much an action movie. BUT it's one of the few action movies that I really liked.

3. Just terrible...but almost a good kind of terrible. I actually named one of my cats "Lucky" for shtick.
