Give Me a Movie/TV Show/Song/Band and I Will Review (1 Viewer)

Monty Python

Saturday Night Live

Kids In The Hall

The State

Mr Show With Bob and David
1. Usually brilliant. A lot of absolutely classic bits. There were times, however, it seems like they were just going for "different" instead of "funny".

2. Depends on the year/cast. Sometimes awesome, other times putrid. Not much to get excited about in the last several years. Oh, and they really need to dump the musical guest BS.

3. Typically hilarious. And considering what a "small" show it was the quality is damn impressive.

4 and 5. Haven't seen enough to comment.

Raiders of the Lost Ark

The Doors

American Psycho

Baywatch

Baywatch Nights
4 and 5: Not even the T&A could make those shows even remotely watchable.
12-15 year old me would disagree.
I was over 18 and access to porn.
Exactly. Internet hadn't hit its stride yet and my supply was an uncles gently used playboys I could reup once a year. Other than that it was Baywatch, Silk Stalkings and blacked out Prism that came in fuzzy but clear.

TV Show: Sherlock
Great show. Benedirk Cumberbum nails it. Yet somehow I have not seen all of the latest season.
I did see the episode where Sherlock "comes back to life" or at least most of it. I keep meaning to catch up but just haven't
I had the same problem. It took me a while to finish Series 3. I liked the Irene Adler and Moriarty episodes in S2 more (but Hounds of Baskerville not so much). Irene Adler's cell phone password had me

1. Great. Little bloated but outstanding movie.

2. Not very good. I don't think anybody associated with that movie ever played football.

3. Oliver Stone sucks balls. His movies suck balls. This movie, if you're following along, sucks balls.

4. I think I made it through 1/3 of this crapfest.

5. Dumb. Totally overrated. Obviously it's a decent for a kids movie but that's about it.

6. Never saw it, looks meh.

7. Terrible. The first Rocky is the only good one.

8. Never saw it. Cool Running for basketball, right?

9. Very mediocre. I know I watched it but can't remember anything besides Nolte and Shaq.

Spies Like Us

What About Bob?

The Whitest Kids You Know

Battlestar Galactica (old or new)

The Simpsons ONLY through season 8
1. Pretty funny when it first came out. Don't think it holds up well.

2. I know I'm in the minority but not a big fan. It's good but I dont find it as hilarious as many others do. Can't really put my finger on it.

3. Haven't seen a lot but I like what I've seen.

4. Not a Battlestar fan at all. The old version came out when I was a kid so it should be in my wheelhouse but it isn't. The old version was goofy and shoddy. The new version is boring and takes itself too seriously.

5. Simpsons rule.

Miracle

30 for 30 series (sorry if this has been mentioned but I don't have the time to wade back through the thread at the moment. If it has been, I'll dig back a few pages later tonight.)

1. Miracle was pretty damn good. Head and shoulders above all the other Disney(ish) true stories (The Rookie, Remember the Titans etc). Highly recommend to younger people that don't know the story of the 1980 team

2. I probably haven't seen as many of these as I should but the ones I've seen have been great. Very well made and typically evenhanded. There are a few that I just wasn't interested because of the subject. But the ones that I was interested in were very good.

Seems like OPM likes more than we thought. Haven't seen a whole lot of his opinions that I would fully disagree on.

Except Spies Like Us. That movie is still great and very quotable.

You should really try to watch all the Mr Shows...maybe next summer

It's too long for that character. Would have made a good short film. And I've never been a fan of Dreyfus.

Memento

Dodgeball

24

Dexter

Heart of the Sunrise - Yes

Golden Slumbers Medley - Beatles

Steely Dan

The Kinks
1. Solid, solid movie. The twists/shtick worked well. BUT I think after the second viewing it really isn't something I feel the urge to watch again.

2. Dodgeball. Some funny lines and bits but mostly screwball fluff.

3. Barf. Too slipshod and unrealistic to take seriously. I watched two episodes and never looked back.

4. I thought the first couple of seasons were enjoyable but then it just lost traction

Dexter leaving all of his victims in sealed garbage bags in shallow water was laughable.
. I think I gave season 3 an episode or two and then quit. Had potential but crapped the bed.

5. No idea

6. Great. Not a whole lot of bad Beatles tracks.

7. Enjoy them in small doses if I'm in the right mood. Maybe 4-5 songs that I dig. (probably from Aja and Gaucho).

8. Some really great early British Invasion cuts. Not as great as The Who but some classic songs. Aside from "Destroyer" (good) and "Come Dancing" (not good) not really familiar with anything they did after say 1970.

The 30 for 30: Of Miracles and Men is spectacular (Miracle from the Russian/USSR perspective). Hope you've found the time to catch that one (available on Netflix).

You some sort of pinko?

Stripes

Mountain Men

Lonely Night by Bryan Adams

The Cars
1. I've seen this movie dozens of times. Like Animal House or Caddyshack, it was one of those movies that seemed to be on HBO every 4 hours back in the late 70s-early 80s. Funny for sure. But in all honesty I watched it again about 3 months ago and I realize it probably isn't as great as I always thought.

2. Is this some sort of reality show?

3. When I finally hear a Bryan Adams song that doesn't make me want to firebomb all of Ontario I'll let you know.

4. Cars have already been covered, RIF.
